Streetside Seafood

This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Birmingham. Their food is always fresh and tasty. During my last visit, I got the tuna poke bowl and it was delightful. I love the complimentary bread, it's served fresh out of the oven and covered in Parmesan. The service is friendly and hospitable. My server made sure my water was always full and she frequently refreshed my wine. The space is on the smaller side but there is plenty of seating. It feels welcoming and cozy with lots of paintings covering the walls.Highly recommend!

Finally writing a review for the best seafood place in Birmingham. Great food and better service. Been coming here every 2 months or so for years. The amazing service (including Jordan) is the reason we return. The staff actually remembers our preferences for drinks and food despite the fact that it's months between our visits.

Chris and Denise are fantastic behind the bar. They organize the crowd, serve everyone - including all of those with "regular" orders and special requests. The food is consistent and fresh. The seafood salad is delicious and a unique offering in these parts!

The food and atmosphere was great. They have an amazing wine list at a reasonable cost. The food was off the chart especially the claims. I was very happy with the meal and serviceS

I can't wait to return! I wanted fresh seafood for my birthday dinner and Streetside Seafood did not disappoint. The complementary bread was served buttery and coated with Parmesan. Our appetizers were outstanding --the oysters (4) were fresh, savory and the perfect blend of cheese, spinach and bacon. The crabcakea were pure crab, no added fluff or bread crumbs--just as they should be!The entrees are portioned well--a full plate of food, so much that we took to-go bags home. My lobster tail was gigantic and cooked perfectly. The paired vegetables were delightful as well, particularly the roasted potatoes. I sampled the Panko crusted chicken and I would be open to ordering this if I was not in a seafood mood--but the seafood was such a great experience, I would barely change what I order upon return. This foodie is a happy customer and new fan.

The service and atmosphere is great. We absolutely loved the shrimp cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller. The spicy Buffalo Shrimp is nice and very spicy. The lobster bisque is greet tons on lobster in it.

Fresh seafood. Good drinks and service. Don't sleep on the bouillabaisse on a cold Michigan night... it's small and no Rez so plan accordingly but def worth the wait.

This is our go-to place for seafood. Items from the standard menu - the perch, the salmon, the oysters Rockefeller are all wonderful. They always seem to have two or three off menu specials that make the ordering decision challenging. The specials are always great as well.

Don't bring a kid. Place has good food and pretty good service,aside from not having a drink menu which is odd... The real issue I have is they told us we couldn't have the stroller in the restaurant because of a reservation that was going to be at the table behind us. Which made sense. I did find it odd because we were at this point approaching 9PM and the restaurant was starting to look empty. Now all of this seemed fine but then literally not one table joined after us. By the time we got out dinner the place was empty. Additionally the bathrooms do not have a changing pad. Good food great oysters. Don't bring kids.

Wonderful food and great service..To begin, we shared both the crab cake appetizer and the mussels.. The broth for the mussels was so good, that we wanted to drink it as soup after we finished the mussels. The crab cakes were full of crab with like filler. For the main course we ordered the bouillibase. and the whitefish. Both were prepared perfectly. Delicious, well presented and good sized portions. Even though we had to take some of our entrees home, we still ordered dessert to split, the dark chocolate crème brûlée. So good- warm dark chocolate custard with a perfect caramelized sugar topping. The service was amazing. Attentive, pleasant and offered great suggestions. Even though the restaurant was packed, we never felt ignored. If you are looking for a casual seafood meal with top notch food and service, Streetside Seafood is a terrific choice.
