We visited for just a good meal on a Friday night. We liked the upscale ambiance and special drinks. The food was good though pretty expensive. We will return for special occasions.

Went here for my birthday and everything was great. Loved the filet, the rolls, the wine. Only thing I wouldn't recommend was the calamari. Rings were too small, batter lacked flavor, and it tasted a little fishy. Teenage kids got the chicken strips and the portions were massive and they loved them.

When Stillwater Grill opened 20+ years ago, we lived at Oak Pointe, and there was always an hour wait out the door for a table. Of course this never bothered the crazed Bartenders given the hellish pace of consumption. The buzz was exhausting at times, what with keeping up with pals and making new ones by the click of the clock. Always loved the open kitchen setup - Chef cracking out orders as he expeditiously ran his domain. Cutting boards ring out their three part harmony as the fryers crackled a crispy tune. The grill racks sizzling with steaks, chops or Lobster tails. Culinary music to every Foodie in the house. Now let's jump forward to this last Sunday dinner with Brighton chums. First off, their French Onion soup was spectacular. 3 different onion varieties sautéed to a light golden tone, blended with a beef consume and smothered with a creamy gooey Mozzarella. Next was their Caesar salad, which I was hesitant to order because, well a Caesar is a Caesar. Wrong - greens were so fresh I would attest they had just been picked. Finally the entree pick was twin Lobster tails. Now I haven't ordered Lobster since jumping the cliffs in Jamaica. Talk about melting in your mouth, with a spritzing of fresh lemon - WOW! Enough about the eats - time to glorify our server. She was amazingly cool with her suggestive pointing out the large offering of starters. She hit did hit a home run with me as I ordered up a - wait for it - Peanut Butter Porter draft! Swear I tasted Skippy. The only issue was we were seated next to a window and it seemed chilly in the room. By the time we finished our first round and scored some great laughs - who cared . Linda committed twice on the drive home that we should add Stillwater Grill to our regular dining rotation - couldn't agree more!

Lots of people come to Stillwater Grill because they know this place serves up great food. When we find ourselves in Brighton, we enjoy a meal here. Seafood, steaks, you name it, always served promptly by their well-trained staff. But did I mention the food? Succulent scallops, melt-in-your-mouth prime rib, all well seasoned with great sides. The ambiance of the place is lovely, almost romantic. Can you tell it's my fave?My wife loves it, too.

Updated review- ordered fish but it came out very slaty and the food didn't really meet the same quality as last time. The waiter made it right by taking it off the bill. We made a reservation so we didn't have to wait too long. However they weren't very busy either.

Service was amazing. We were a big group, loud (lots of older folks with hearing problems who love to talk so... lots of shouting), on weekday lunch, and the servers dealt with us so graciously and helpfully. The menu is disappointing. Usually even a grill has one token vegetarian item. This place had nothing and when I ordered the mozzarella tomato bacon chicken on ciabatta sandwich special asking them to hold the meat, what came out was pathetic. Maybe 1/2 ounce of sliced mozzarella melted on a puny slice of tomato. It felt like the chef was spitting on a customer for wanting to eat something other than meat. Except some of the other meals were disappointing according to the other eaters, so must just be a mediocre chef.Very disappointing, won't be back.

Finally came to this place after being told how great their food was. If you're driving south, it comes up out of nowhere and sits a tiny bit back from the road behind a line of trees. You'll miss it if you're not looking for it.Came here on a Sunday evening around 5-530pm. We got lucky with snagging 2 seats at the bar. It was otherwise a 40 minute wait for a table. Parking lot is pretty big also so you shouldn't have any issues finding a spot. We very pleased with the immediate assistance of the bar staff. A young man was training and the bartender stepped away for a moment so he got us waters and a food menu. I appreciate him doing something for us rather than just letting us sit and wonder (which has happened to us elsewhere). Once the bartender came back, the drinks were flowing. Food & Beverage: Requested a coffee drink but was stumped when he said he could make one. He suggested a millionaires coffee and I signed up for deliciousness. The husband had a rum & coke with a nice looking ratio (if you drink this, you know what I'm talking about). After that, I stuck to wine. They have a great wine list and a full bar. They also had a list of specialty cocktails. Menu was fantastic with prices that illustrate the quality of food you're about to eat. Highly recommend any of their steaks. Salads (we had a Michigan and a Caesar) were amazing. Classic Calamari and Brussel sprouts were a delight to start with.Attire: may want to go more on the dressy-casual side rather than casual-casual. I wore a white sundress and fit right in. Hubby wore a plain dark blue tshirt and gray golf shirts. You don't need to be dressed-to-the-nines but don't look like a hobo. Wait staff: very attentive but not overbearing. Had great recommendations and we never waited long for our food.

The Grill prides itself in have the freshest fish and best steaks. I ordered the cashew salmon and my husband the cajun steak. Both came with so much sauce that it ruined the fish and meat. I asked for more paper napkins to remove the sauce. It didn't help much they brought fresh rice and vegtables, but still added sauce. If you want to taste fish or meat, don't get any sauce or have it on the side. For the cost of our meal, the preparation should not require hiding the fish or meat.

Your establishment has gone down the drain ! My husband ordered salmon which was incredibly small when it arrived to the table . The waitress said , well you can order a second one but I would hav to charge you !Your portion size is insulting to a customer . We no longer visit Stillwater .
