We had a great meal here before our sons hockey game. The food was above average, and it has the perfect neighborhood / dive bar feeling. I thought my chicken Ceasar salad was awesome, so were the burgers. I think there a lot of great items to tryIt's within walking distance to the downtown center, and only a few minutes to the ice arena. I would definitely recommend coming here on a date or with friends.

Rating based on value was a 5, food a 3 1/2. The corned beef and chicken soup special was $9. The slider sized corned beef was tasty except for the soggy bun. Chips were excellent for kettle not overly fried. Table mate had the Cesar salad and would rate it a 4 star.

I stopped into Stella's Black Dog Tavern for lunch. The place definitely gives off dive bar vibes. I tried a Black & Bleu Caesar salad, and thought it just ok. The ribeye steak was cooked to order, but definitely could have used more seasoning. The blue cheese was plentiful, but was particularly tasty. Also, I thought the dressing could have used more zip. I did like the garlicky croutons. Overall, I think I wouldn't order this again.

Now called the Plymouth Pour House. Service was fast efficient. The food was outstanding for a local bar and the ambiance was great with everyone having a good time. Best of all the GF menu was outstanding. Try it especially if you're celiac it's worth going to Frailic St next to Westborn Market.

I attended a special lobster bake event that is sometimes available if you check the restaurant's Eventbrite page. I highly recommend signing up for the lobster bake. It's such a good deal for dinner with lobster, starters, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks. Dorothy, one of the owners, is lovely and helped the guests as we dined on our buckets of freshly steamed Maine lobster. The meal also came with corn-on-the-cob, kielbasa, and potatoes. In addition to the main course, we had delicious lobster bisque and homemade cranberry white chocolate cookies. I took my mom with me, and she had a lot of fun. She's often critical of most restaurants these days and doesn't even think it's worth it to dine out. I was so happy that she had such an enjoyable evening and had a high opinion of the service and food. I would love to attend another special event at Stella's.

Attended a trivia night with Ladies Social Club. It was good drinks, great food, and hard (for us) trivia. We'll done! I loved the dumplings. Our server was new that night and did the best she could with the crowd there was.

Renae our server was excellent and made great recommendations. We had perch dinner, fish, and chips and a French dip. The French dip was the star of the show. Drinks are reasonably priced and the ambience is definitely old-school bar.

I visited here on a Friday afternoon with my friend, Julie. I figured it would be a good place for a burger, which I was craving. Our waiter was busy at tables and bartending so our service was a little slow. But we visited so it wasn't a big deal until we wanted to check out. I ended up going up to the bar to pay. My burger was average. Nothing to write home about although it a good sized patty. The fries were very ordinary. My friend had the lemon garlic shrimp zoodle meal and she really enjoyed it. I know she's eager to go back again for the same meal. I'd try Stella's again but I'd order something else. Whereas my friend is sold on the Zoodles.
