Steampunk Tap Room & Bottle Shop

Coming home from Meadow Brook wanted to stop for a beer or two. Walked in and was told we were closing soon but we can pour you a couple. I thought that was great. The bartender she was fantastic she knew her beers. I sat at the bar the menu was above the taps they had 24 beers to choose from. I was told they rotate a lot, which is cool. I ordered the the Spoetzl Shiner a peach wheat ale. What a refreshing beer that was so I had two. Was very happy with my choice. The bar sat about 12 maybe. There was a few tables. No food is served there. I talked to who I think was the manager, super friendly guy he told me about all the different breweries they work with and the rotation. If you are in downtown Utica and just want to knock back a couple cold ones this is a place to check out.

Since we're drinking around these parts of the woods. A cousin of mine suggested that we go here. Have a couple of pints,, shoot the breeze,, play some card games or wut not.As of right now, the spot is pretty much just a tap room. Serves up local brews. It's nice, quiet and looks to be a work in progress.I could see bits and pieces of the steam punk theme, but I'm afraid it's more rural than anything. Super bright lighting defeats the purpose of the lamps on the table.With that being said, it seems as if whoever cooked up the theme for the place is slowly piecing it together. This is definitely a cool place to visit and bonus points that it is walkable from my house. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. I had some questions about the menu and they were a very informative. One star knocked down because we were sitting inside and there were a lot of annoying fruit flies hovering around are drinks. But overall a good experience and a fun place to grab a drink.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and great selection of rotating beers. They're an awesome small business in downtown Utica that is so easy to support because I truly love going here. I love to stop here while I'm waiting to grab a burger from Shamrock. They even allow you to bring food in, so we've picked up a pizza before and ate it there while enjoying their beer. The place is always extremely clean. I appreciate this, especially that the bathroom is always clean.

Great beer selection on tap, fairly easy to get to in a good location. Will be coming back, food would be nice though.

I'm just updating my review because some things have changed amid COVID. For example, they added a great outdoor seating area! We were excited to see that this place was still open because we have always enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a gorgeous night to sit outside so we were happy to do so. They did a great job with the outdoor area. The tables were made of wooden kegs. Very cute and unique. We enjoyed a couple of beers and good conversation! Can't beat that! We will be back soon for sure!

Steampunk is truly a gem! To be honest, I don't want to write a review and give the secret away. I have hopped around the state for many years looking for the best of the best places for both food and drink. Located in the the heart of Utica, Steampunk Taproom offers a neighborhood spot for locals to enjoy. The bar is the perfect spot to belly up and order a few unique beers. Each time I've stopped in, the beertenders are simply the best. They make you feel right at home and the locals love to chat it up! This past week, we stopped in for a cold beer. It's nice sometimes to enjoy the simplicity of life. Steampunk offers that type of vibe. You walk in a stranger, but leave with many friends. Shout out to Gary the Plumber for buying us drinks!

Great bar in downtown Utica, MI for serious beer drinkers. Nice variety of beers and wines. The bartender was really sweet and knew exactly which beers fell into my wheelhouse after I described what I was looking to get. She had me taste 2 different beers and the one I chose to buy was perfect for me. This tiny bar has an industrial vibe with an appealing decor. They don't have food so eat before you go.
