Incredible Dining ExperienceEarly evening dinner today with the Mrs went Flawless at Steakhouse 22The Staff-Here's where things started to shine today, instant connection of pleasantries with our waitress Danielle, attentive, knowledgeable of menu, carrying a calm relaxed nature. Wife looks at me "I like her demeanor" thumbs up on that one George..Over the years eating here, we have never had an empty plate on our table for more than a minute or two and whoosh it's gone, Tina always zipping around clearing tables relentlessly..The Food-Ribs, pilaf, and steak bites all properly cooked nice and hot, with a flavor only Steakhouse 22 can deliver..Ribs were nice and meaty, not the dry beef jerky ribs you get at Texas Roadhouse on Brown Rd that's for sure, thank you Steakhouse 22Anyone who says they have Rice Pilaf, and gives you some minute rice with gravy, should be stricken from their menu. Steakhouse 22 on the other hand knows the 2-step and it is delicious..This combination of excellent food and top notch service, brings a warm inviting atmosphere to the table, and That's exactly what happened tonight..It's a simple thing really, but the simple things are what gets customers to return Thank you George for an excellent dining experience tonight.. 100%

It has been years since we have come back to this location. The inside has been well redecorated. Staff is pleasant and the place is busy.We ordered a number of different dishes. Two ribeye: seemed choice grade, perfectly cooked, way under seasoned, one with minimal fat and grizzle the other full of grizzle & fat. About 1/3 uneatable. The Tuna was good. The Ruben was okay. There could have been some butter on the bread when it was grilled as the bread was very dry. A second piece of Swiss would not have hurt either. Good portion of corned beef. Onion soup could use more more onion with salt and pepper. Salads are fresh cut in house,not bagged lettuce. Over all everything was under seasoned. The mashed potatoes could have used some butter and cream as they were very dry and minus salt too. Side Mac & cheese was good. Staff very busy. We have been searching for a restaurant close to home where a reservation could be made. Wish we would have really loved it here.

Kind of a mixed experience here. The restaurant is nice and clean, the servers are all very friendly and helpful. The food could use some help though. For starters we ordered the saganaki and calamari. Saganaki was delightful but the calamari is served with the sauce beneath the squid itself which causes the breading to become soggy. Would be a lot better if they served the sauce on the side like most restaurants do. The French onion soup is good, our Caesar salads were ok but drenched in dressing. My biggest gripe was the steaks. Dad and I both ordered ribeyes not realizing they pan fry the steak in butter rather than grilling them on a grill. Both steaks were overcooked, swimming in butter, and not very good. The side of baked Mac and cheese I got was definitely not what I expected. Watery cheese, unpleasant taste, slight sweetness to it, and a heavy dusting of paprika on top. I took one bite and didn't take another after that. Mom had the whiskey salmon which was a very generous portion but she said it did not taste fresh at all. The kids meals are also a generous portion. We had the cream puff and the bumpy cake for dessert and both were fine for what they were, nothing special. Not sure I'd come back here but if I do, I unfortunately wouldn't get a steak again even though "steak" is in the restaurant name

We had an amazing family dinner here. Party of 6 - 4 of us got steak and they were all cooked to perfection. The other two dishes ordered were sea bass and ahi tuna both were excellent. The side salads were great and soup, mac and cheese and twice baked potato were an excellent accompaniment to the meals. It was also very nice to get loaves of fresh hot pumpernickel bread with honey butter. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. We completed our meals with 3 desserts for the table to share - carrot cake, bumpy cake and hot fudge cream puff sundae. Definitely bakery quality desserts and very large portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back.

The restaurant is beautiful..nice place to take a date. The appetizers were delicious especially the Brussel sprouts. I had the bourbon steak ( I'm not a big fan of sweet steak) . The gymbo was delicious.

love this place--used to be nick's steakhouse--it is owned now by nick's 3 sons, harry, bill & george--we have never had a bad meal here--the prices are fair--all of the help are really sweet--a great family owned restaurant....

We would place Steakhouse 22 among the top steak houses in the area, but we would also recognize them for having the best mushroom soup on Saturday and the best chicken lemon rice soup on Sundays.Even if you're not craving a steak, consider going just for the soup.While you are there, watch their staff in action. Everyone knows exactly what they are doing and they do it very well.

I was visiting my parents and we went to dinner here! The prime rib was excellent and I ordered a side of pan fried lake perch and it was delicious! Our waitress was great and had such a fantastic personality. We sat in the enclosed patio area and it was actually a bit noisy for my mom she's hearing impaired and the background noise made it difficult for her to converse! Overall I enjoyed it! I would totally recommend! (California girl who loves lake perch)
