Starter's Bar and Grill

Starters Bar & Grill is a decent spot if you're looking for strong drinks and a casual atmosphere, but when it comes to the food, it leaves a lot to be desired.The drinks are definitely the highlight--they don't skimp on the alcohol, so you're getting your money's worth in that department. However, the food was below average. The flavors were bland, and the quality just didn't match the price. Some dishes felt overcooked, while others lacked seasoning or freshness.The service was fine, and the atmosphere was lively, making it a good place for drinks with friends.

While in town came here for a daddy/daughter date with one of my daughters. As always I go with the Catfish dinner and steak bites for an app. This location has been a staple in Midtown for years and never disappoints. Service was great and the atmosphere was warm and chill.

I really wanted to like Starter's. The location is convenient and they are one of the few restaurants around still serving dinner late. But the food and service were severely lacking. I got there and was sat immediately. But it took about 10-15 minutes (maybe longer) before I was even acknowledged by a server and had my drink order taken. The restaurant wasn't even busy, but might have been understaffed. I ordered the New York strip cooked medium with rice and a side salad. The salad came out first and tasted...ok? I assume standard restaurant-grade vegetables that were probably from a bag that had sat in the fridge for weeks. The steak was very salty and had a slight taste of being spoiled. I couldn't put my finger on it but the meat just tasted off. The rice was bland. The whole experience was funky. Don't think I'll go back.

Went here for a date. Service was surprisingly good, I was nervous about some of the reviews being pretty bad but I had a great experience. Food came out fast and hot. The cheese for my potato was forgotten but my server made up for it by getting my another fresh potato. I had a peachy Long Island and got the grilled salmon. You get huge portions, I had enough for lunch the next day. Drinks are very strong and one or two drinks will have you buzzed for sure. I plan on returning and I hope that my next time will be as good as this one.

This was my time here. Went here for lunch on a Friday. It was not that crowded, but it's the winter time. Service was good, the server seemed very knowledgeable on how the food was prepared. So I did like that. My Steak was seasoned and cooked the way I wanted it. Food overall was delicious and it came out from the kitchen pretty fast.

Didn't have the food here This hennyrita tastes like delicious orange juice but it gave me a really good buzz so it did its thing

Great space food was good, I had the egg rolls and Mac and cheese. Which were both amazing the porterhouse was cooked to perfection. We ate at the bar service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a great choice!

Food is garbage. Drinks are bottom of the barrel. My waitress brought the bread out after we finished our food LOL. She also tried to persuade me that my food and drink was actually good even though I thought it was terrible.

Always a great place to eat and have drinks! Started is starters. The service is always on point. The ambiance is a sports bar! They also open late!!

The pepper steak put me down for 3 days. Fever, stomach ache, nausea. I rarely get food poisoning but this was by far the WORST I've ever had. Get BETTER meat.
