On my way to my moms house from the airport, my mom spoke on how good one of her bottles were from here, so I wanted to stop by to bring some back home with me.Upon arriving, we found lots of kids who were enjoying themselves at the small rides. I think they had apple picking going on as well. She and I went to the winery and upon entering, we were greeted with smiles. Everyone was so nice. I tasted a few items and chose two to bring home with me.The Concord wine is amazing! The cherry wine was a great second. My mom loves the peach, so she bought one of those.I plan to stop by again before heading back to SC!

We visited the orchard for the first time three years ago and I was so happy to see they had a winery. It was so fun the first time, and still a great place to drink. It is a very small space but they seem very organized and able to handle crowds. When you enter you remain by the door and they call you up one party at a time to the bar as to not overwhelm the area, but it goes really quickly and it works. They have wine from dry to fruit, all types of cider, and cocktails where they combine the wine with the cider and sometimes juices. I love the cocktails. In the past I had the mimosa with peach wine and orange juice and today I had the cosmo with cranberry wine, white sweet wine, and cider. All very fruity and delicious. They also serve food. We got the giant pretzel with hot cheese to dip, very good, and not a bad price for the size of the pretzel. Other items include charcuterie boards, sandwiches and some very yummy looking cheesecake by the slice. I would love to try some of that. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. There are places to sit inside and outside. The vibe is always fun, family friendly, but great for couples and friends to hang out. I have typically had more wine than cider and we love to do the flights. The cider is good, I like their pineapple one, so many to try here. I also see people go into the country store and bring in their donuts to eat while drinking. The donuts are really good, and even better when you can get them hot and fresh. We had the cinnamon sugar ones hot out of the fryer. It is also fun to come here for a drink then do some you-pick. We got apples this time and had a blast. I hope to visit again this season but it does say it is open all year round.

Spicer's didn't used to have a winery and I'm not really sure when it opened. I know it was there last year in 2021 but I never had time to go in. Decided to go in today in case we wanted to do a tasting. It was right around noon and the parking area was nearly full. We had gone into the orchard store to pick up fresh donuts and cider to enjoy after church this evening. There were lots of people including many families, picking apples in the orchard and in the shop buying donuts and what nots and then there was the winery -in a separate building next door, with a huge covered area way bigger than a pavilion where there were many people enjoying food and wine and other beverages. We found a parking spot and went on into the winery. It's a fairly long space- not real wide but plenty wide enough to have a bar where you can have tastings or buy a glass of wine or another adult beverage, there are bottled wines in many varieties all along the walls And there's even room for a few tables and chairs -in between the bar and the wines for sale!!! -although normally you could go outside and enjoy your beverage should you choose. They do allow you even to take the tastings outside which is rather unusual. Usually at tastings I have found they would like to inform you about what it is you're tasting but they had little acrylic carriers for the wine samples (I'm sure that probably developed during Covid since there probably weren't people allowed to sit at the bar near each other or near the person giving the wine explanations).Anyway they have half tastings and full tastings available and very reasonably priced. Since the hubby and I are not connoisseurs and prefer sweeter varieties we decided not to do a tasting but to wander around and look at all the wines available for purchase. After doing that we discovered they had a cherry wine that we very much wanted to try so we just went ahead and bought a glass of it. Since he was driving he ended up only taking a couple sips and liked it but not as well as what he has been buying in Texas which is a lighter variety of cherry wine. I, on the other hand, found it absolutely delicious, very much tasting like dark black BING sweet cherries with a big bold flavor and not overly alcoholic! I must say it's unusual for me to drink wine at noon and since I had the majority of the glass and I am very much a light weight when it comes to any kind of alcohol I was feeling no pain when we left!We did indeed buy a bottle of the cherry wine to bring back to Texas. (In retrospect I'm sorry we didn't buy two!!!)About halfway through my wine I decided it would be a good idea for me to get a snack since I hadn't had anything to eat yet. We went up to the bar and to buy some pretzel bites but at that point we were informed that they were completely out of food as they had sold it all to the large party that had come in by bus earlier and was out under the pavilion. They did have some small bags of chips in a bin over by the door and so I ended up grabbing and buying one of those. Better than nothing to absorb some of the alcohol. Customer service is excellent there. The woman who helped us used the term for herself which meant that she didn't drink alcohol but was still very able to discuss all the different wines with us. She was very nice and helpful. She was busy when I went up to purchase the bottle of wine and my chips so a young man who was also behind the bar helped me. No waiting there ....they're all over being helpful! We enjoyed our experience at Spicer's Winery and will return! We highly recommend when you're in the area to take advantage of the whole experience. I didn't mention it but in the fall they also have a corn maze and hay rides, just a lot of fun!

I have been going to Spicers Winery since it was the Carriage house and part of the main shop building. I have seen them grow and couldn't be happier for their success! I highly suggest the Traminette, similar to a Gewürztraminer, but like wayyyyy better. The aftertaste of that wine is so pleasing to the palate; it's a must have, definitely add it to your wine flight. Also the Honey White is amazing, it's sweet but soooo good. Other faves are the Cranberry Wine and the Peach Fizzy wine. And don't forget to try all of their hard ciders, each one is special in its own way.

Hard cider was not very good. I like the environment and the idea but it didn't taste good to me.

Was recommended to visit when in town for a wedding. Partner and I both got a flight of ciders - Original, reserve, mango habanero, and blackberry. Delicious and enjoyed the atmosphere. My personal favorite was the reserve.
