ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! Idk why the rating is so low. Service is a little slow but, The food is where it's at! Detroit Soul food is sooo much better than Atlanta's. Flew down just to get a plate fr. Thank you. Nice music and ambience.

This place is kind of a hidden gem in my opinion. It has a nice outdoor seating area and spacious indoor dining area that is nicely decorated. Lots of tvs and full bar. The staff was very friendly and efficient. My server Jayda was very nice and knowledgeable about the food and she was attentive to the table. Now let me get to the food. The wings and catfish were both delicious. Wings were fried hard and not over seasoned. The Mac & cheese was a big hit. The collard greens were a little too salty but still good and the yams were just right and not overly sweet. All plates come with a sweet piece of cornbread which is more like cake but ok. The bathrooms were clean and did not have an odor.I would definitely return if in the area!

Came with a few friends for lunch. Food was okay but expensive in my opinion. Service was okay. I feel like they need to update the dining area.

Had the pleasure of visiting Detroit and wanted to go to this restaurant from feedback received. Certainly was not disappointed. I ordered lamb chops, candied yams, chicken wings and Mac & cheese. The lamb chops had a unique mild sauce that was pleasing to taste. The Mac n cheese was excellent along with the yams. You can't go wrong with the chicken wings, it had the traditional southern taste finger licking good! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

The greens were good. I think that's the only positive about this place. They have a lot of work. The place is hard to find. Service was friendly. The food could use a bit of work. I think they have a nice idea but they need to work on theirs drinks and the quality of their food.

I would just like to say if I could give this place a negative 10 I would . We went here for a friend's birthday yesterday march 26th 2024 worst decision ever. The night was going ok it ended in a epic fail. The waitress Diamond was her name seemed nice we had a nice size amount of people at this birthday dinner but the night ended horribly. one of the party members said they're about to go and left only to call and say they left there wallet did anyone see it. No one saw it . So they called back to say someone had already charged 600 dollars on a credit card already and was trying to cash app themselves money right then. We asked who was the name of the person that was trying to cash app themselves and she replied Diamond I won't say last name . Now remember I told you the waitress name was Diamond . So it was clear she had stole the wallet and so since we were all there we ask to speak to the manager . Two managers came out a younger lady and older lady and a big security we showed them the people were trying to cash app themselves name was Diamond... which was there employee and they did not help at all we ask just give the wallet back please . But no helpOr wallet was given back . We all kind of got the feeling that everyone was in on it managers included because they saw there employee was trying to cash app herself money they did nothing . Police were called and a police report was filed. This place is highly disgusting with horrible management and thieves for staff . No one wants to go out to eat to have to watch there purse and wallet on the table this type of thievery should not and will not be tolerated and from there very own staff at that do not eat from this place unless you want you credit card information stolen or better yet your wallet. This shows what kind of people run this place and work here no moral no principle individuals if they will allow there employees to steal I can only imagine what they do to the food. BEWARE ‼ It's businesses like this that give restaurants a bad name. HORRIBLE NEGATIVE 10 stars WORST RESTAURANT EVER.

I celebrated here Friday at 7pm. We had call ahead seating. I had a party of 20 for my mothers 53rd birthday. The service was so slow. No sense of urgency. The 2 servers we losted. My food took over an hour all while the rest of my party had eaten their food and paid. I am very disappointed. I had to ask for silverware. And got the manager involved. The food tasted great but the lambchops have become a lot smaller.Theres 18% gratuity on the bill and they didn't allow us to separate the checks. The did 1 check per table. It was 4 tables total bcuz they didn't push them together.

Food good and vibes nice but food took hour and half don't suggest unless you have a free evening.

On 2/1/25 at 8pm we had a reservation to celebrate my pastors birthday. We received the worst most insulting and low class service from not only our server, but the manager at the time needs leadership training, customer service training and basic communication skills. We were a party of 16 split into two tables and gave much grace, no complaints, were kind and tipped. I really am disappointed in what this place has become. Very low class and low class service. It would take the entire page to articulate this experience. I am definitely happy to have options and this will never be one of them. I do not complain ever, I believe in grace. This place has ran out of grace. Spend your money where the service and food are excellent. Neither is the case here.

Family and friends met up to celebrate a birthday at one of our favorites Soul Food restaurants (10 years ago) There is absolutely nothing soulful about the food. The smothered pork chops were either overcooked or two days old, they served can gravy, over cooked greens (reheated way too many times), chicken wings weren't done and had to be sent back twice, the Mac and cheese was okay. Cameron, our server was the BEST. She was very attentive and pleasant. . I promise you I won't be back. Don't waste your money and time.
