As an update to my earlier review things have changed pretty drastically for me in the Michigan wine space as the vast majority of the internet wine companies I use to deal with can no longer ship wine from out of state to Michigan based on local regulations. As a result this, I have gotten more exposure to the local wine retail business and with that a greater appreciation for what businesses like Simply wine have to offer which is the purpose of this update. In particular, Simply Wine packs quite a punch considering the modest square footage footprint of their store where they carry a fairly large and diverse wine selection that covers most of the major wine regions of the world. The wines vary from well known major players to lesser known boutique wineries that offer excellent quality at a much lower price point. Tied in with this and the thing I appreciate the most is their monthly/quarterly wine clubs that have both a lower cost boutique Classic club and a more pricier premium wine club. I have found over time that I have gotten into a rut drinking the same varietals of wine over and over again and not getting out of my comfort zone. These clubs with their curated wines have changed that by exposing me to different wines/varietals that I would normally never try where in my case, I have opted to go with the lower cost Classic Wine club of two bottles a month of the Boutique wines for $30. Prime objective of me joining this club was to find new wines to add to my daily drinker collection where this club has hit it out of the park for me in how much I am enjoying these new wines. These Boutique wines while new to me are very good, with a unique flavor profile and more on the wallet friendly side of the ledger which being a retiree I find very appealing as I am always trying to stretch my dollars and get the most bang for the buck which this business over delivers on. If you are into wine you should definately check this business out and while there you owe it to yourself to check out their wine clubs and what they have to offer as you will not be disappointed.

An absolute must see in Northville! It is a store in the front and a tasting room in the back. There is a large selection of wine with friendly service to back it up. In the tasting room, there is chilled wine options too!

After lunch at Rebecca's, we wondered over to Simply wine because I thought I had read that they do tastings but they do not (or did not when we stopped in). Very nice selection of wines and you can create your own tasting menu by opting for 4 Oz portions of various wines. Lots of wine accessories if looking for a gift. Attractive, comfortable seating if you want to relax and have a glass. You can take outside but then you have to give up the glass and go plastic. Nice stop in Northville.

Very nice wine shop with a tasting room. They have unique sampling system that preserves the wine flavor with inert argon gas. This allows them them to sample numerous wines (16 were available). Sadly, the automated system can't be schmoozed into providing generous pours. Fortunately, it won't pour any sediment into your glass and adjusts the price accordingly if you get the last of the bottle. Also, when your wine card is almost depleted, either top it off or select a pour; it will dispense a wine quanta commensurate with the dollar amount remaining.Very friendly and helpful staff. The prices may not be very competitive, but it's a great place to "try before you buy". Recommend.

We are new to the area and being wine drinkers, we were so happy to discover Simply Wine In Northville, MI. A friend of mine introduced me because she liked it so well. You are able to taste a sample of a few wines that are displayed on their chalkboard. You can sip your wine while browsing their wines and gift selection or you can take it outside, weather permitting of course! They have a wine club you can join. Details are: 2 bottles each month for only $30.00 (valued at $35-$40)*.No cost to join or cancelReceive one red wine and choose between a second red or white wine.As a wine club member you will receive 10% off wines every visit and 15% off cases of wine.A Special Wine Feature is available each month at a discounted price for members. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. And best of all, they keep track of the wines you have purchased in the past. Give them a try, shop local!

I just hosted my big sister's surprise 40th Birthday Party here. The setting was beautiful and the staff was so accommodating. Lindsey was the best. The wine was amazing. My sister had a ball.Parking is in the rear. Wine prices start at $1.50 a pour. Private parties are scheduled after they close. $100 per hour plus gratuity. We had an open bar for our guests and brought in our own food. My brother in law paid so I don't know what that cost for 25 people. He's still speaking to me sooooo it might not have been too high. This is the perfect spot for a girls night out. Me and my sister's will definitely be back.

Simply Wine is simply delightful! The front 3/4 of the establishment is devoted to a wide selection of wines, neatly categorized by color, price, and flavor characteristics. The knowledgeable, friendly, but not overbearing, staff will help you pick if you wish. The back 1/4 of the establishment is an old fashioned feeling self-service wine bar with wine barrels for tables and 12 wines "on tap". Ask for a card (preloaded with $20.00 unless you request more) at the register. Choose a wine from the tap fridge, place a glass under the spigot, insert your card, and pick taste (1 oz), 1/2 glass, or full glass. Voila! Simply Wine also offers a variety of snackables for purchase to accompany your wine, should you wish.

We love this place. Grab yourself some light eating fare and bring it in --- they encourage it. Bring your own sushi, or cheese and crackers or your own charcuterie tray. Then "purchase" a card that allows you access to their wine-dispensers and sample (1-oz, 2.5-oz, or 4-oz) a variety of wines at your convenience. A great way to "try before you buy" a full bottle. They also have cheese and crackers for purchase if you desire. They also have wine clubs! The first involves you paying $30 per month for two free bottles of wine (one red chosen for you, the other a red or white of your choice from a list) each month (estimated value $35-$40) plus 10% off all wine bottle purchases and 15% off cases. The second is similar but higher end --- $100 per month (or per quarter) for two reds with a higher level of quality (minimum $100 value); same discounts on bottles and cases as the $30 plan. All pans are cancel at any time with no penalty!Simply Wine is simply wonderful!

I LOVE wine. All of my girlfriends love wine, too and we were lucky enough to stumble upon Simply Wine. It is fantastic! The staff is great and really knowledgeable. I feelBad that they are often overlooked because of the clever wine machines. Ok, the wine machines are seriously fun to use but nothing beats a personal recommendation. This is a great addition to Northville. I have highly recommended it to all of the wine lovers in my life. You won't be disappointed.

What an amazing place! I stopped in here to purchase wine for a Christmas gift. I do enjoy drinking wine but not an expert in any way shape or form. The staff at Simply Wine are so knowledgeable and helpful. I had a personal shopper who walked me through the wines, offering suggestions. They were also very respectful of my price point and didn't try to upsell me. I ended up spending less than I thought I would. I definitely will be back
