Sidelines Sports Eatery & Pub - Toledo

I just went in for a drink with some guys from my golf league. Nothing special and nothing real negative. I felt bad for the bartender because she was the only one working in the front of the house. The bar area was the only section open do you the holiday. She was working her tail off.

Nice bar area w/ plenty new HD televisions. Great place to watch an intimate OSU or TTUN game. The bar area is not very large and can get a little noisy. Drinks are very affordable and the food (typical fried bar food) was prepared well and tasty.

It's just not good anymore. Came on on a Friday evening...medium busy. Waitress was busy and made us wait but was very apologetic about it which was fine and we understand. We both got chicken chunks. Dried out and over cooked. Small portion which just a dusting of cheese. And FYI, they charge for any dips like ranch. Even your first one. Nothing comes with it. We have eaten here for years but we won't be back. I don't think they care, they own many restaurants and this one...is forgotten it seems.

Pretty standard fair. Kind of similar to Chili's and Applebee's but local. Courteous and friendly staff. They can be slow at times but they do get busy. They have good pizza and burgers. We generally come up on Friday for a relaxing meal and a drink or two. Tonight I enjoyed the crunchy jalapeno burger. Cooked properly with waffle fries.

Good food but they really need to offer more tables that seat more than 4. Our dinners usually have 5 people and just about all the time we have a long wait because they only have 2 tables that seat 8 and the rest are 4 tops that they refuse to pull an extra seat up to or put tables together (even when they're not busy). Definitely doesn't feel like a place we could go to with a group of more than 4 people of the regular. 99% of the time we give up and go someplace else because the wait is too long. A few 6 tops would be helpful and much more family friendly...

Kaley was amazing waitress very excellent service. Recommend beef tips. Great food tonight.

Went there for a late dinner. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap. It came out ice cold. Instead of ranch, there was actually thousand island, with some spice. Luckily it was on the side. The waffle fries were cold and soggy. All went back. They came back quickly with my wrap- it was clearly microwaved. Service was fine, kitchen was not.

Service was sub par as the server couldn't remember that we asked for extra napkins. Also, the level of noise, mostly by kids, was so bad we left way before we had planned.

They are suffering from the same short handed staff that everybody else is don't expect what you ordered and if you complain they just give old worn out excuse good food and good service is hard to find these days and it certainly isn't here move on

Was very disappointed with the service tonight. Been going to this place for a long time now and have been noticing the decline in service. do not get me wrong not all the servers are bad. However tonight our server Maddy was horrible, not friendly at all. we were seated and was not greeted for 25 mins and when she finally did come to our seat there was no hi my name is just what do you want for drinks. that would be the first strike, but ok no problem not going to be worried about it cause you know maybe she is having a bad day whatever let's proceed. So we get our drinks and put in our appetizer all good there. We put our order in again no issues still not very friendly no smile no small talk starting to feel as we are a bother but again not an issue yet to where I need to have manager step in but overall experience not feeling good about it. So now we are sitting waiting for our food and I had ordered an entree with a salad my husband ordered entree with a coleslaw. So half hour waiting and no salad no coleslaw at this point I'm getting worried that salad and coleslaw is coming with entree well that's going to be a problem. So I grab our waitress and ask can I please get the salad before the meal she says ok and gets it but doesn't bring husband his coleslaw guess I should of asked for that as well. We have always gotten the salads we'll before the meals without having to ask for them to be brought . So she brings me my salad puts on table and before I could say ummm I need silverware she is gone, now I'm sitting there with a salad and nothing to eat it with that I had now been at restaurant for over a hour and just receiving my salad. Now at this point I'm upset and debating on asking for manager. So once again I am able to flag down waitresses and ask can I have silverware to eat this with she then huffs as if I'm asking for her to go above and beyond. About 5 to 10 mins go by not horrible and another lady not our server brings two forks with to napkins not wrapped over lays them down says here ok no big deal but again made to feel as if us being there has some how prevented them from what I mean is this not what they are there for I mean it's complete customer service type of job or am I wrong I don't know. Now at this point I'm telling my husband that this has been a awful night out the service has been so unfriendly and I have been watching other servers and their smiling, talking, laughing with their guest so that tells me that the restaurant isn't having issues right. Anyways now our meal arrives I go to cut my baked potato up some and put the butter and sour cream on and I go to touch it and no warmth at all like stone cold could stick my finger in and hold it there for several minutes not hot not even warm so I say to myself better check your beef tips and yep ice cold meat has the dried out look as if it had been setting for a while I tell the waitress can I have hot food please and now I would like to speak to your manager. She gives me a dirty look and says she is right here. The manager comes to table and I show her the potato that it's ice cold and proceed to let her know all the miss haps of the evening. The manager didn't even get two words before the server wanted to come at me hostel saying can't you see we are busy. Excuse me one the restaurant was no more busy then a regular service night there was no waiting at the door walk in and be seated so no that is not the case. Second even if it was busy that's not a excuse for poor service or to give ice cold food. However the manager the words the manager did say was yea we are busy , hmm ok well then we will be leaving and not eating this. The manager shrugged and said ok the waitress said good leave bye. So what I would say for you sidelines I would let maddy, Madie, (not sure on how she spells it or says it since one she never said who she was that was the name the manager said) go or she need excessive training. But I will not be back to your establishment and I will be letting everyone I know how poorly your manager and waitress handled the evening.
