The tabouli was made with kale instead of parsley and it makes a big difference. I ended up throwing it away. My kabob was over-cooked and dried out. The staff were great and five stars to them. Too bad the food wasn't good. No stars for the food

I've been in love with this place for the last 5 years, my entire family loves the fresh bread..... BUT today has changed everything I ordered 6 orders of bread and I'm not sure if this is mold or the oven is dirty as hell but I had to throw away half of it and I wasted $56 so so disheartening

We just had some of the driest shawarma sandwiches ever. There was like a tablespoon, mostly on one end of the sandwich, of sauce. Plenty of chicken, marginal taste, but plenty of chicken. Good luck, heads up, sauce.

Shish kebab express is fairly close to my work. I finally decided to stop in and check out the food. My favorite is usually a Shish Kafta sandwich, lamb. I decided to go with the trio combo, which comes with a side and a drink. Right after I ordered the waitress placed some hot bread, garlic sauce and salsa on the table. I knew already I had too much food. I ordered the fattoush salad as my side. Everything was very tasty, including the garlic sauce which was delicious. Staff was attentive and friendly, I will be coming back. By the way, I love shish kafta, but it is usually a little dry. This was moist and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Update on this place: I picked up a carry out for a coworker and I today. When I got the order back to work there was a main ingredient missing from my coworkers salad. She called just to see what they would do. The person on the phone took our address and sent someone there with that ingredient. They were there within 10 minutes. That is Service!

Worked up an appetite last Friday after our afternoon walk around the track and had a taste for some Shish Kabob. Honestly we metro Detroiters live in such a great area for food, don't we? Hummus, garlic sauce, and fresh bread all at a whim. However I ended up getting the Shish Kabob wrap with cheese (never had one with yellow cheese, it was intriguing) and the husby got the Shish Kabob trio through the GrubHub app here on Yelp. Tons of food, as always. My husband got all lamb for the trio, plus fatoosh side salad which was huge, and fries. My wrap was also large enough to split into two meals, which I enjoyed for lunch on Saturday as well. Delicious with the yellow cheese, maybe it was American? Bread also came with the order and I was bummed that we didn't order garlic sauce or hummus to go with it. Always the favorite part of the meal, that warm bread. One criticism was from my husband was that some of the lamb was a little too well done and also too salty. But some bites were better than others. Looking forward to eating in soon and getting our hummus to go with the fresh baked bread

If you are craving some amazing authentic food with their personal twist on pita and homemade smoothies come here. I ALWAY end up comming here when I just can't quite deside what I'm craving... They have amazing shish-kabob beef and chicken, is a go to FAVORET of mine... also try... the mago smoothies, Home made fire cooked pita, shish tawook, chicken shawarma dinner or sandwich... make sure you specify which one you want!They have lental soup or chicken lemon rice for soup. ( I tried both... they are great) Oh and the service is quick I have even placed my order when I was in the parking lot. They had everything ready in 5 min. Never had a bad experience here. So go check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!!!

Coworker recommended this place so we tried it for the first time and absolutely hated it. The deboned chicken although cooked pretty good had no flavor, the garlic spread for the bread was sour, tabboule was gross and not chopped fine like most places. Over all terrible experience and food tasted nasty I will not be returning.

Unfortunately I have to downgrade my rating of this establishment to 4 stars due to their portion sizes significantly decreasing. My wife and I recently ordered the Shish Kabob Triple combo and the Shish Kafta Triple combo. The salads came in much smaller boxes than they have in the past. There was significantly less rice included. There were only a couple pickles included just one piece of roasted vegetable with each combo.I'm assuming their sandwiches and some of their other dishes remain mostly unchanged, but if they have, it could slide into 3 star territory.
