With all of the amazing middle eastern food in the region, I expected more.A recent meal of mujadara found the lentils to be incredibly dry and weirdly smashed, served with a salad that had some of the saltiest dressing I've ever consumed.Based on the reviews, it's clear SKE serves up some great food, but for this first-timer, today's lunch was underwhelming.

Tried a Fattoush salad, and it's my new favorite; simply delicious; I will probably try other items on the menu, and when I do; I'll update with a picture, but worth trying, and in a shopping mall near other restaurants, and shopping. One of my favorite places to go. Great customer service, and food is made fresh when order is placed.

Ordered the veggie combo, shawarma combo with hummus and house salad and a quart of carrot, orange and ginger juice.The hummus was okay, the falafel was dry to me and the veggie grape leaf wasn't bad. My husband liked his Chicken meat with the garlic, the hummus and salad were good for him, he said he would have preferred the chicken on top of rice, but that would have been considered an extra side, it was on a bed of pita instead. The tabouli tasted old and not very fresh. I have had it freshly made before and it's such a distinct taste of freshness that can't be compared. The house salad was okay but there were several romaine veins and I even got a chunk of the butt of the romaine and then there were big chunks of onion too. The carrot, orange and ginger raw juice was good.

We visit the Clarkston location on the regular and heard that they had an Allen Park location. Decided to give it a try to compare and were pleased that the food was very similar. Hummus is always delicious, the rice almond salad was fresh and did not lack slivered almonds! The owner was very friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant itself was clean and there were a few families dining in. Give it a try!

My go to place for a number of tasty vegetarian options. In an effort to eat a healthier diet and to reduce my carbon footprint, I'm trying to eat less meat. Shish Kabob's menu helps me achieve this goal. The Mojadra, Hummous Tabboule, Hummous Fattoush, Vegetarian Ghallaba, Falafel Sandwiches are ALL fantastic veggie options for lunch. I usually pair one of these sandwiches with a cup of crushed lental soup or with a side salad. The raw juices are great too.The only thing that is not good here is the garlic sauce. Other Mediterranean restaurants make it light, fluffy and full of garlicky flavor that you can't get enough of. At this place it is thick, heavy consistency of lard with bland flavor like eating paste. It was weird and disappointing because I typically like using it on my sandwiches. Overall the food is delicious. It is fresh, well priced and prepared quickly to order. The service is always professional and courteous. Order ahead to avoid waiting because this place is extremely busy with its dine in customers, Uber eats and other delivery services, catered orders and pick ups. I am thrilled to have discovered this gem.

I stumbled across this place on a work trip. AMAZING! The staff were very friendly, fast service, and delicious food. I had a two piece lamb Kafka dinner. It came with savory rice, hummus, garlic sauce, a few roasted veggies, a pita and a side salad. The lemonade was great too.
