Located near old village and downtown Plymouth, the is a cute and cozy space with craft cocktails and a menu you'll find is hard to pass on ordering food, if you just came here for a cocktail. This is a perfect place for apps/drinks! A few of my girlfriends and I spent NYE night here, early on in the evening and it was wonderful. The bartenders treated us so special and we loved the vibe. There's live music on certain nights which we were happy to experience while we were there! I highly recommend this spot for a gathering with friends or intimate date because the atmosphere is on point! This is also right next to the Sidecar Slider Bar which features a bit less expensive drinks and more of a sports bar vibe so although they are very different it was super fun to spend time at both in one night and have two totally different experiences!

Very cool and sexy place. It's small and very intimate. I loved sitting at the booth for two at the bar, it felt like you had the place to yourself. Great service and interesting menu items. We went there just for a drink but everyone's food looked so good we ordered a few dishes. They were larger than expected but all delicious and we did finish everything. Reservations are a must for the other tables but bar is FCFS. Great for small groups. Live music on Thursday's.

What a cute and cozy place to grab a drink! It's located in the same building as the slider place, directly across the hall. There is a big parking lot so no need to park and walk. It's not very big which I love. I love smaller spaces. The staff were friendly the service was quick. I went on a Saturday night and they had a dj it was pretty cool. The menu is a little pricey but my drink was totally worth it. They put a snowman on it. Definitely recommend for a night out with your friends.

Right off the bat, my husband and I were confronted by the same incompetent employees at the hostess stand. On our first visit to Sidecar, they could only find one menu for our party of three. On this visit to Shift, they could only find one menu again, and we were there at the opening time of 5:00. They need to fix this because it makes a terrible first (and second) impression. Luckily, the rest of the evening went very well, although my husband and I were a bit confused when we read our one menu. Over 75% of the menu is labeled as appetizers. However, what is really going on is more of a tapas situation. We followed our excellent server's recommendations and tried the Lamb Lollipops, the Lobster Bruschetta, the Filet Sliders, and the Brussels. The lamb was very good, though two of the chops were a tad overcooked. They came on a pile of arugula, which was just dry arugula. It was too big a pile to be a garnish and too dry to eat. I would order it without next time. Also, the plate had a decorative design of balsamic glaze on it, but there wasn't enough of it to eat with the arugula or the lamb. A bit if the glaze, or another sauce, would have taken the lamb to the next level. I wouldn't order the lobster bruschetta again. It was ok, but if I didn't know there was lobster in there, I wouldn't have guessed it from taste. My husband and I really loved the sliders. The filet was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. We also loved the Brussels sprouts. They were tender without being over cooked, and had lots of the crunchy leaves that I love so dearly.

SHIFT is located in the historic Markham place between old village and downtown Plymouth. SHIFT shares the same entrance and check in as Sidecar Slider Bar. Reservations recommended since SHIFT is smaller compared to Sidecar. My family and I came here for my birthday dinner. We were placed at the larger table by the front. Absolutely gorgeous. The chandelier, red velvet decor with soft music were the vibes. Our waitress was amazing!! She was so sweet and attentive. She asked if we were celebrating anything too! We started off with a round of cocktails. I had Boy Bye. If you like tequila and watermelon, this is your drink. For dinner, we ordered a lot! It's a tapas restaurant so it was nice to try so many things. We were a larger party so that helped with getting a larger assortment. We enjoyed the following: 1. Lamb lollipops - so good and tender. Not game tasting at all. This was a table favorite! 2. Ahi tuna - Seared. Large portion. Yum!!3. Lobster tacos - deep fried with an aioli sauce. Who doesn't like deep fried? Another table favorite! 4. Lobster bruschetta - this was okay. The lobster was cold and the bread not toast. Not a table favorite.5. Filet tips - The sauce that went with this.. geez! So good! 6. Edamame - standard 7. Sweet and spicy shrimp - yummy! Not to saucy or spicy. 8. Lettuce wraps - Thai flavors. Nicely done! 9. Filet tacos - lots of steak 10. Chocolate peanut butter truffle - my favorite dessert11. Key lime truffle - good, but I'm a chocolate lover We tried a lot! Everything was soooo good. Such a great experience from the service to the food to the ambiance. Highly recommend!

This place is very well decorated, and there is a nice parking lot. Additionally, because it's a little out of town, it's nicer for getting in and out. The issue is that the prices are sky high, and the service was not good, and the food was very average. So if you are looking to spend a lot of money for mediocre food (wings were cold/over-cooked, beef tips over-cooked, fries okay) and mediocre service (I was there by myself for 10 minutes and not a soul came over to say hi), by all means, go to Shift Kitchen. Oh, and the DJ (though extremely nice and friendly) blasts you out of there at 10pm. I certainly do not plan a return visit.

We really enjoyed our time at Shift last night. Entering the restaurant was a little confusing at first as two restaurants share a hostess stand. We almost got sat at the slider place next door (looks good too!)Our waitress was very nice and quick to offer drinks and suggestions. I decided on The Time of my Life and my boyfriend got a beer. This restaurant doesn't have a beer menu, but they will run next door and get a beer from the other restaurant. My drink was delicious. Not too sweet and cucumber forward. I would definitely order it again. For food we chose the ahi tuna, spicy shrimp, edamame, and fillet steak tips. All the food was great, but we especially enjoyed the steak. It was served over arugula and goat cheese with a balsamic glaze. The streak was cooked perfectly and so was the tuna. We accidentally came during happy hour which meant all our food was half off. Per the menu, they run their happy hour every day from 5-7. What a wonderful deal!We will stop again next time we are in town.

This was our first time coming to Shift. We didn't know it existed until we tried Sidecar Slider Bar, which is right next door, for the first time. Both places are excellent. The Shift is a tapa restaurant and all our dishes were delicious. The only thing not pictured are the sweet and spicy shrimp. The service was quick and our waitress was very pleasant. The restaurant is dim with a mid century feel.

Loved the ambiance here with the dimly lit room and velvet backed booths. We came for happy hour on a Friday at 6pm and easily got a table. Drinks were good and food was delish! Can't go wrong with the happy hour specials they run. We had one hiccup where our waitress told us about the HH drinks and listed their "special of the month" drink in it... turns out it wasn't on happy hour like she stated (we wouldn't have ordered a $18 drink otherwise)... after bringing it to her attention, which she escalated to the manager, they reluctantly applied the happy hour discount. If it was our mistake I would have let it go, but the fact that she specifically said happy hour specials of 50% off espresso martini, the special of the month, and the color red, we felt it was only right for them to fix it. Wish it wasn't done begrudgingly by the manager as that made us leave not sure if we'd come back. I would have been back in a heart beat if not for that.
