Shawn's Irish Tavern

We visited this place last year and found the food great! People told us about this place and since we wanted to celebrate St. Paddy's Day we stopped by.Not a lot of Hibernian specialities but enough to make us happy. The chicken chunks every bar around Lake Erie serves are here. And other choices as you can see from the menu.We usually get Moscow Mules or margaritas. But when it's cold i like a nice coffee with a kick. Spanish coffee or something mellow. Not a fan of Irish Coffee because it's too sweet.

Amber is the best waitress ever!

Smelled really good as we walked in. Large space and very crowded. The whole floor was almost covered by popcorn. We went on a Friday night which makes sense. I order their seasonal cocktail: key lime pie cocktail. We split two orders of potato skin with three people. Everything is tasty. Highly recommend both

This is a great local bar with the best bar food you could ask for. The staff is always nice, super attentive and go out of their way. Locally owned with awesome sandwiches, pizza and appetizers. Tons of beers on tap. We love Shawn's!

It doesn't get any better the Shawns! Great Staff and The Great Menu choices and their pizza are all Great ! Chicken Chucks!! Oh yeah! Oh and ALWAY Cold Adult Beverages!

Atmosphere is nice with allot of TVs. The food is ordinary. Seems to always be packed. A locals spot.

STRIKE FIRST!: The food at Shawn's is not bad. It's not the best bar food in town, nor is it the worst. Suffice it to say that I've never had a bad meal here. And I will say that the burger is actually great; it tastes flame broiled...it tastes like you made it yourself on your own charcoal grill, on a cool autumn evening, in your own back yard. Also, Shawn's chicken chunks are some of the best in town: the ratio of chicken to breading is relatively high, and the dipping sauces are well made. The drinks are cheap and strong. The beer selection is never bad. In fact, it's usually good. The salads and the pizza? Again, not bad... especially the thin crust pizza.STRIKE HARD!: This isn't always the case, but the number one reason why customers get treated poorly by the waitstaff, is because they, the patrons, were rude or condescending to the waiter/waitress/bartender. For me, the service has always been prompt and friendly. I will admit, however, that one particular bartender (and you know who you, Miss Sour Britches) is usually bitchy.NO MERCY!: I checked out the input from the one-star reviews. Predictable stuff. Also predictable is that more than half of all of their reviews are 1 star. Some people are just hard to please. Also interesting is that many of their 5 star reviews were for places that have subsequently gone out of business (long before the virus came to town). Shawn's gets a lot of my business because it's predictable (extra star) and it's on my way home. It's never bad, and it's usually good. Cobra Kai never dies! Either does Shawn's Irish Tavern.5 stars!By the way, if you haven't canceled Netflix yet, and you have fond memories of The Karate Kid, you should definitely check out Cobra Kai.

I don't recommend this place. Bartenders are rude and shouldn't work in a place with people. People have complained nothing is done. it's a man and women and I will never go back.

Made the mistake of stopping in for lunch on Saturday while the College games were on. Not much of an Ohio State fan, and now even less of one. By the time our meal arrived, my son and I were pretty much ready to leave. And after seeing a few other people leave, we asked for take out boxes. Some of the people rooting for OS were obnoxious, loud, generally rude and quite disgusting. Even the waitress was "put off". I blame the management for the lack of control of their patrons. So I won't be patronizing Shawn's in the near future. Especially on a Saturday afternoon.
