Shatila Bakery is a Detroit classic--everyone knows their pastries are unreal. The house-made chocolate, kanafe, and ice creams are all incredible, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. But somehow, not enough people talk about my absolute favorite thing--the Ashta fruit cups! They're so good. The only downside is that they sell out sometimes, so they're not always available. But if you see them, do yourself a favor and grab one!

The place is absolutely beautiful. Inside has a gorgeous aesthetic that is very clean and elegant. The place was very busy so it took about 15 minutes to get in an order. The pastries and baked goods look so good. But I must say the looks are very deceiving. The food tasted very bland and seemed as if it was baked the day before. The food wasn't fresh at all. It's very disappointing as it was very hyped. Prices seem to be fair but honestly I'm disappointed in the quality of food.

I love coming to Shatila's! There's always a line but don't worry your number gets called up pretty fast, so just take the time to look over all the suites and figure out what you might want. Everything is delicious, but I have to give it to the cheese dessert, Knafeh. I grew up eating it and it's so nostalgic and not overly sweet.

Visited here on a Saturday night at 10pm last week and the place was CROWDED!Service is fast here even with so many people visiting. It's a Mediterranean bakery with lots of space to sit and eat. They have shakes, ice cream and coffee as well. When you enter you have to grab a token # and then place your order. Then a person helps you out with everything that you need from behind the counter. Then you can go to the cash counter and pay and pick up your order. Their fruit cakes are quite well know for birthday parties.

My friend purchased their mix pastry tray baklava from Shatila Bakery for a party. It was amazing. Totally enjoyed every bit I'd them.

Gorgeous inside! The workers were friendly and very attentive. They have an abundance of desserts and you can't just leave with just one thing. I got the famous dubai chocolate and it was delicious! Ive had it before so I knew it'd be good and i grabbed 5 for friends and family. I also got this mocha cake as a gift and they loved it! I'll definitely be back to try more things!

AMAZING value for the baklava boxes (and I love how they package it for easy shipping/ transport via plane if needed). Honestly couldn't believe the quality and quantity I got for a half box order (less than $20). My only main gripe was the ordering process is a bit confusing ( you have to take a ticket and wait for them to call you before you are served). Must visit place if you love baklava and other middle eastern desserts!

Okay quite literally the best Baklava I've probably ever had outside of the Middle East! We got the Kanafeh also and the cheese was just so melted and creamy, it just melted in your mouth. The Baklava also was so delicious. We went when it was busy time so service was a little slow. You basically grab a number as soon as you come thru the door, and once they call your number is when you order. Seating is first come first service. They have an ice cream section, an area for Baklava and one section for French pastries. Loved our experience and our only regret is not grabbing any to go

I don't recommend this bakery. We ordered the baklava combination pantries. In my opinion the pantries were dried out, hard and tasteless compared to other baklava bakeries.
