Egg white Vegetable Omelet- not very good. Looked like slip on my plate and just no flavor at all. I don't recommend this place at all.

Great breakfast - Quick - Easy.One of my favorite breakfast spots to visit, good ol Coney Island style and to the point kind of menu. They are quick, staff are so nice, and portions are perfect. Breakfast is served until 3 and they do great crispy hash browns if you ask. Come here with family whenever I'm back in town! I've missed coney islands and breakfast spots living out of state. Worth the stop!

I've eaten inside four times and gotten carryout again least 3 times since discovering this cute little restaurant nearly a year ago. The interior is outdated and in need of some love, but the food is always hot, delicious, and consistent. The service is always quick and I swear the same 3 servers work everyday. If you're looking for a quick breakfast/lunch/ dinner look no further. My only complaint is the inflation costs that have heavily impacted the menu. 2 sandwiches with included side and 2 pops cost us nearly $36 before tip.

I'm giving them 3 stars based on the breakfast we just had. I ordered eggs and toast and gave the bacon to my son. He had corned beef hash and toast. Service was slow. Waitress didn't have a personality at all. .... Place needs updating and some action in the kitchen.

I have been here a couple times during lunch and the service is always outstanding. Today I ordered a hamburger with fries, and my dad got a cheeseburger with onion rings. The inside oft he restaurant is in desperate need of an update, but the food is delicious.

Had breakfast there with my wife and everything was great. I appreciate a place that can make eggs properly. Basted eggs were perfect. It reminded me of the diner I worked at as a kid. Will be back for sure.

I cannot believe in all my years on Yelp I never wrote a review for Sam's Place! This has been my family's go to breakfast spot after church for years now- almost two decades! Now it's just dad and myself because no one else goes to church but the food is still something we look forward to every Sunday! We almost always get two eggs over medium, hash browns, one with bacon the other with sausage links, one with white toast, and the other with rye toast- well done and coffee. It's cooked to order every time including the well done toast. Now my family and I have worked at different coney islands throughout our life and their breakfast just doesn't hit like Sam's place. The hash browns are always good. You can tell that they aren't left sitting on the stove top or what my place used to do which was put cooked hash browns back in the freezer and then bring them out again to serve! Sam's place hash browns are the perfect kind of flavor and crisp to them. Our eggs are always spot on as well as our toast a meats. The coffee cups never run dry and the servers there are always nice. Our favorite servers are the young blonde girl and a young man, though we haven't seen him in awhile ): I'm realizing now we should ask for her name. She's the friendliest and most attentive one of them all!

Sam's at the corner of Farmington and 5 mile road is certainly one of my favorite breakfast places. I tried biscuits and gravy this week and it was the best I have had yet from a local eatery. The cook and the waitresses are always very friendly and my coffee cup is always refreshed. Sitting at the counter may contribute to friendly conversation too.

Drive past and keep going.Before I would have given this place 5 starts for the food and the friendly, efficient staff. However, before today, I've always gone with other white people. Today, I went with my black husband. The man that seated us at our table wouldn't look at my husband, even though I was looking at my husband to answer the quest of how many. The waitress, who I've had previously and would have described as warm, efficient and friendly was cold and ignored my husband. For example, looked only at me when we ordered coffee. After getting our coffee, I asked for water, only I got water. She walked by my husband as he politely but very clearly tried to get her attention, but responded to me from across the restaurant.The food was still excellent, but I won't ever go back because the ambiance was coldly racist. And I hope you won't either.
