Sam’s Bar & Grill

Went there to watch a Lions game and had dinner. Great neighborhood bar. Ambiance was festive but laid back. Waitress was super cool and attentive. Food was delicious. We will definitely go back.

Wonderful food and atmosphere! The service is the best around! We are always greeted with cold beers and they have wonderful garlic parm fries, burgers, wraps and more :) so glad it's right around the corner!!

Great food, cold drinks, friendly staff and kid friendly for dinner. What more could ya ask for.... They even have games to entertain kids so all in all great place and would recommend it.

When I first started coming here the food was great, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. Then everything started to change for the worse. First our favorite bartender quits because she could not take it from the owner anymore. Then the cook leaves and the food started going downhill. After that, the owner raised the prices of the meals and drinks. The only reason I kept going was because of the new bartender. She was awesome. However, that was not going to last. The owner started making ridiculous rules. She would not turn up the heat even though it was freezing outside. She would not serve coffee unless she was guaranteed to sell 12 cups. She expected her customers to order food all the time while in the bar even though the food was not all that great. I will never step foot in this establishment again.

A fun little bar/grill in the middle of no where. Lots of locals. They have a different special every weeknight and Karaoke on the weekends. The food is standard bar food and dirt cheap prices. Beer is sold by the can and you can't beat the atmosphere.

Twenty years or so ago, when Sam owned the bar, she would make a different lunch special everyday of the week. The bar was always full of the old regulars, playing cards at one end of the bar while enjoying a beer or twelve.Still, the place was a Dive, a familiar old gathering place albeit a comfortable Dive. In the evenings the service was horrid. More often than not customers had to wait for service of any kind while the barmaids were outside smoking one weed or another.Fast forward 20 years and we tried Sams Place again tonight as it's been under new ownership for some time and someone said the fish was really good on Friday.Boy, were they wrong. All You Can Eat for 10.95. I could barely eat half of one of the three pieces of fish on the plate. The fish (which was supposed to be cod) was a pre-breaded and frozen wedge that was grey in color, resembling pollock. The "baked potato" was microwaved so long that it was too hard to cut into with a fork. The hush puppies were gummy triangles of something resembling dough. Why they offered Texas Toast with the meal too I don't know but it was so hard on one side you actually had to snap it as opposed to biting into it. The tartar sauce seemed like runny mayo but I cant be sure. The only thing on my plate that resembled what it should had been was the fresh lemon wedge.If there had been one thing worth ingesting on my plate I would have given two stars because the waitress was attentive and very pleasant but I just can't. I guess if you just want to belly up to the bar and drown your sorrows in $2 beers this is the place.

This place is dirty and in poor repair. Our glasses stuck to the bar, its just that bad. The food is not very good either.

You will NEVER find another down home bar than Play it again Sam's. The owners Joe and Vicki are awesome, their children are awesome and the Employees, Mickie, Karen and Shelly are the best. They offer 3 big screen televisions, Free Pool, Free WIFI, alot of local talent. So head on down and enjoy a nice ICE COLD beer in the can, A top of the line mixed drink and some Dirt cheap Amazing food.

This place is awesome! Great food, cold beer and great service!! Best Taco Tuesday around! The Nachos are unbelievable!! Check it out!
