Round Bar

We came to Round Bar for a meal after watching Pitt play Toledo in the Game Above Sports Bowl at Ford Field. We started out with some drinks and then got some flatbreads. My buddy got the chicken sandwich and highly recommended it. I ordered one as my son finished the flatbread. I'm glad I ordered it as it was one of the best sandwiches I have had. I currently have the Detroit Style Breaded Chicken Sandwich in my top five. It was a great mix of breaded chicken with a spice to it, sweet and spicy slaw, and a sweet sauce, all on a brioche bun. Boom!!Our server, James was awesome. He was friendly and efficient.The place is smaller, but had a nice feel too it and we watched some bowl games.

Honestly, I really enjoyed myself at this hotel bar. They have some really nice signature cocktails as well as a full bar, the service was fast, and the food was surprisingly good and not overly expensive. I had their holiday versions of the French 75 and a cosmo - both were very good. For food, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and it was great! Better than a lot of the more expensive places downtown. A large, whole fried chicken breast with yummy sauce, fresh bun and homemade fries. Perfect. the Doubletree is a great place to stay, no matter the season, but on a super cold night, it was really nice not to have to go outside for dinner. A lovely experience I'd repeat, and I'd for sure come back to this bar. Solid.

My husband and I stayed at the adjacent hotel for three nights. For a lobby bar it is a solid spot. Nice selection of taps. Food was as I would expect, good. There is a tv so you can catch a game on tv. The round bar is a nice feature but the seats were not super comfortable and the interior was really bright, it looks like they are still settling in. The staff were so kind and friendly. Overall a good spot for a drink or meal if you are staying nearby and looking for something casual.

Not great, to say the least. The food was average, at very best. Not a lot of options. Service was quite slow. There are definitely better options in such a city, go find one!

I ate two meals here, out of convenience, since it's in the lobby of the DoubleTree hotel where I was staying. Both times, I sat at the bar and no one acknowledged me until after I'd been sitting there for a little while. I ordered the shrimp cocktail one night and the salmon dinner the other. The food was decent, but nothing outstanding for the prices. My salmon was cooked perfectly but had no taste, as did the risotto side. I never expect too much from restaurants in a hotel, so I wasn't surprised by the mediocrity.

This bar was inside the hotel and was a cute little place. We didn't order any food, however, what we saw on other folks plates, the food looked mighty good with large portions. The prices were reasonable and the place was clean. It was a nice bar for a hotel location and a good place to simply stop in for a cocktail and/or bite. Also had a pretty decent happy hour that rotated daily with different food specials.

Had a good time here last night. Atmosphere is great. Bartender had a good sense of humor. Drinks were generous. It's downtown but 4 blocks or so down from Woodward. Many windows great for people watching. Did not eat there but everything I saw looked amazing. Will be back for food next time.
