I love this intimate space! Fun decor and moody lighting. Extensive liquor menu.Great for dates or catch ups with friends. Excellent cocktails and mocktails. Talented and kind mixologists. Located upstairs in Jacoby's, I like to grab drinks here and then head downstairs for dinner.

Shhhh....it's a secret! Behind the door, up the stairs...time travel to Detroit's past, one of the oldest bars in the city. Room 1904 is a vibe! Dimly lit, romantic ambience, crafted cocktails and small plates....Room 1904 is calling you!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! Angie was our bartender. She made this experience top notch. One of the best bartenders/mixologist I've have yet to experience. From her mixologist skills to her great personality. Being from Las Vegas it's hard to find a place that is up to par with that service industry. Atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Though the bar tenders were friendly and attentive, and the place has some nice ambiance, the drinks are ridiculously overpriced...in some cases double what other places charge. Simply not worth it, unless you've got money to burn. Far better places downtown.

I was looking for something new when I stumbled upon Room 1904. When I seen it was a speakeasy it really intrigued me. I searched to see if I can find more information about it, but there was limited pictures and reviews so I decided to have my girls and cocktails there. It's located above the Jacoby. When you first walk into the Jacoby, it gives a old school sports bar vibe. Immediately when walking in you look and see stairs and a door that says 1904. After opening, you take a flight of stairs up and you enter into a dimly lit intimate room. With leather couches and inviting environment. The bartenders were very knowledgeable. They sat and talk to me about the different bourbon and whiskey options for drinks and what would I like the most. The drinks were incredible and for the price you may not need more than one. Unless of course you have a strong tolerance. I tried the Soleil Levant. It was strong at first but as the ice melted it became just right and the flavors of the ginger and lemon blended together great. My friends told the bartender what they like to drink and what they don't like and she made them drinks based on that. Again it was so delicious . They are great mixologist. I had the 1994 cauliflower, I asked if it was made with dairy and it is not. The sauce was tangy almost like a hot sauce mixed with bbq sauce. My friends had the salmon dip and they said it was delicious. I did make a reservation but they seemed like they may accommodate walk ins.

Wonderful vibe, and delicious drinks with a helpful and friendly staff. Very expensive, so come prepared to spend, but it will be fun otherwise.
