Ronnie's is one of the best places to buy fresh meat in Detroit. Located at Gratiot Central Market across from Eastern Market. Friendly and efficient service. Prices haven't increased drastically like many other businesses. My family has been coming here for years.

Great service at a VERY reasonable price. Take the time to visit Ronnie's Meats in Gratiot Central at Eastern Market. The quality of steaks and porkchops can't be beaten. Do yourself a favor and SAVE money. I did!!

Wow how did i not know this place was so close. Two tomahawk steaks. Now its time to smoke them. Lots of great meats to choice from.

Great meat, great prices, friendly people, great selection. Their kabobs are terrific and a bargain at $3.50 each ($3 each of you buy six or more). Love the Gratiot Central Market at Eastern Market and Ronnie's is my go-to spot. You won't be disappointed!

This is a great place to pick up fresh meat. The key word being fresh. They have a large display of varied meats, in pre-cut and whole portions. The whole portions can be cut to your specification, free of charge and are usually a liitle cheaper per pound. The shop has always appeared clean and I have observed them frequently change gloves. The service is quick and courteous. The staff there has been very helpful in assisting me with selecting cuts and been very patient when I've asked to see one cut after another. The shop actually has two sides that are divided by the walkway. One side is meat only. The other side has meats as well as spices, oils, vinegars and condiments. My one issue is that the individual cuts usually have better marbeling than the whole pieces.

The Freshest Meats at the Best Prices. Would not suprise me if other stores and restaurants purchase their meats and produce from here. I love it. Parking a bit scarce though. Bring a driver to loiter outside if no parking available.

Highly recommend Ronnie's Meats! The last few years my husband and I have been frequenting Ronnie's for various kinds of beef and pork. There are two things we keep coming back for again and again...The ground chuck is fantastic and priced really well! You can get ten pounds for $2.19/lb. (You may be able to get slightly cheaper at the grocery store, but this is FRESH) The meat is always of great quality; no "surprises." We just bought 10lbs this last Saturday and the burgers we made were amazing. It's a great deal if you have a big BBQ coming up, or just want to stock the freezer. The New York Strips are really, really good. You can buy the whole "strip" and they'll slice it for free; it's about $5.99/lb. Three times last summer we bought a whole strip and had them sliced into 2" thick steaks and they're like butter. The meat is Choice but it's honestly as tender and tasty as Prime. Do it. You won't regret it. Every time we served these steaks our guests RAVED about how tender they were. I've bought the whole prime rib roast twice and thought they were amazing, but my husband swears one time it wasn't that tender (he's crazy). *Overall you need to know how to pick red meat and look for good marbling. They're friendly there and will gladly let you see each piece as you shop.

Good prices, good meat, and fun staff. Been to Ronnie's a few times - always the same. Engaging, and good food.This past weekend I got a HUGE porterhouse and a couple of filets. They had cut an order for filets, and the customer didn't want them (not sure who did what so no judgements) but I benefited for sure. Got filet mignon for a HUGE deal and the Porterhouse was grand. Recommend!Adjacent to Eastern Market, so parking is the same. Just cross the foot bridge and they the first area inside meat market (on the right).

Terrible Experience: The owner was very rude and dismissive. He doesn't handle conflict professionally and thinks a customer is beneath his intelligence. Will Recommend RJ Meats Over them Anyday!
