Rocco's Italian Deli

I've heard SO many good things about this sandwich place and I'm so glad to have finally tried it. The free parking lot was a nice surprise so I didn't have to worry about street parking.My friend and I ordered the chicken parm and italian beef sandwich which came out quickly. The chicken cutlet was crispy, fresh, and topped with rich mozzarella. I loved the extra side of marinara that came with mine- I just wish the sandwich came precut but not a big deal! The portion sizes are HUGE so it was nice to have leftovers for dinner.

If you haven't been to Rocco's Deli yet, stop what you're doing and go now. Seriously, just get in the car and drive.I probably think about the Il Rocco about a few times a week -it's that good. The sandwich is pure perfection. Each ingredient is fresh, flavorful, and layered with care, so you taste everything in every single bite. The bread? Perfect. Soft enough to bite into easily but sturdy enough to hold everything together.Every time I go, I tell myself I'll try a new sandwich, but I can't bring myself to stray away from my usual sando order. The staff is part of the experience to, they're friendly, welcoming, and make the place feel like a neighborhood gem. Bonus: They've got a nice selection of Italian wines to round out your meal.I'm confident in saying that the Il Rocco is easily one of the top three sandwiches I've ever eaten in my life. Made to order sandwiches with High quality ingredients. Had the Chicken Parm and Hard Proof Prosciutto Sandwiches. Both sandwiches tasted amazing but the chicken parm was on another level of delicious. The sandwiches were a little pricey $14 and $16 respectively plus tax/tip. They had a cooler of specialty sodas and drinks. They also had a ton of wines, coffee/tea to order, and a whole menu of other food you could order. Seating was pretty limited so would plan on waiting for a seat or taking to-go during lunch/dinner rushes. Wine rack to the ceiling on one side and the deli bar on the other. They had some outdoor seating (it was freezing out so nope). I would definitely recommend and come back again if in the area.

I tried Rocco's while on the go on a road trip, while passing through Detroit. Wanted something quick and easy and saw the Yelp reviews for Rocco's. I'm always skeptical of highly rated places, but after my visit to Rocco's, I can see why. I was there on a Thursday afternoon, it was quite busy with takeout orders and a few diners inside and outside on their patio. The place itself is cute, they offer a selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and more. They have a deli section and also have a good selection of wine.But I was here for the sandwich. Was torn between the meatball and the Prosciutto Love sandwich and ultimately went with the Prosciutto. The sandwich had this nice crispy bread, the sandwich had prosciutto, mozzarella, yummy pesto, and seasoned tomatoes. Just to give an idea, the sandwiches are quite filling, at least in my experience. I hadn't eaten all day and had a half of the sandwich and some pasta salad. The pasta salad was not a typical Italian salad that you find most places. This one was more flavorful and creative and I wish I had grabbed another for the road. I ended up only eating half the sandwich, it was really filling and saving the other half for later - which was still good when I ate it later. Incredibly flavorful.Rocco's is a must try when you're in this area, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I tried this place on a whim. Glad we did! Great sandwiches with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very happy we stopped in and would definitely recommend.

My friend recommended this place for us to eat from the previous reviews and it met our expectations! The place was nice, neat, and cutely decorated for the holidays. We also appreciated the private parking lot over street parking. My friend had the The Breast Chicken Parm Sandwich and I had the Serious Beef Sandwich. We also got drinks from the fridge, I had a yummy cherry soda and she had a refreshing coconut water. We loved our sandwiches and were able to have it as leftovers. I will say mine was very fragrant, soggy probably from the juices, and a little messy to eat. None of which bothered me but just to note!

Ok, let me start by saying I've been dying to try this place since I started to see their instagram reels hit me years ago. Finally my son and I got a chance the other night. They are open late - thank you - since he had a late rehearsal right near DSO. Did I mention they are in a quick, easy spot- with a lot to park in!!! The place is adorable- sets the mood. Employees are all helpful and polite. They have food to go, food to eat in, and deli things you may want for home. This visit we just needed dinner, so we got the Chicken parm sandwich and the prosciutto means love. Both are big portions. My son and I loved it. The parm was crispy and flavorful and serve the sauce on the side so you don't make a mess of yourself. My son loved the fresh mozzarella to complement the prosciutto. We were stuffed and can't wait to go back and work our way around the menu. Such a great find.

Rocco is a hidden gem in Detroit that has it all! I ordered the "A Betta Muffaletta," and it was incredible; perfectly layered meats, melty cheese, and that tangy olive salad that brought everything together. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had. I paired it with a $2 High Life beer; what a deal!The vibe at Rocco is spot-on: laid-back, stylish, and perfect for any occasion. They've got a full bar that makes killer craft cocktails, including a smooth Manhattan for just $9. Plus, their impressive wine selection comes with no corkage fee, which is a rare find.Great food, affordable drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere; Rocco is definitely my new go-to spot in Detroit. Highly recommend! Service was excellent!

I was craving a meatball sub I got one of the best meatball subs ever. This cute little spot had so many options of subs/sandwiches/drinks. Service was super friendly and quick. They also have a bunch of cute little snacks for purchase. Can't wait to come back when I visit Michigan again.

Seen a review on Reddit about this location me and my girlfriend went to the Pistons game before the game. We stopped here and got a Rocco."boy was it good the bread was super fresh. The deli meat was absolutely amazing. All the vegetables were very very fresh and It had a very unique taste with meringue and lemon in it. my first time at Rocco's will not be my last.
