Excellent all you can eat shrimp dinner tonight! Choice of fried or broiled which is wonderful. Comes with soup salad or coleslaw but up charge for salad. The garlic bread served with cheese spread or butter was delicious. Great service! Definitely coming back! Price is right!

We dined here for dinner tonight and the place was hopping. Although there were some empty tables we had to wait about 10 mins. I'm sure it's because of the two large groups! Also we wanted a patio seat. I understand this place was recently remodeled. It looks great - open, spacious, bright, and clean. There is a bar area, indoor seating area with a view, and patio area right on the river. I ordered a side Greek salad and baked potato. I would have just gotten the salad I'd I known it's size! For a side salad it was really large and loaded with feta (too much in my opinion), black olives, beets, red onions, tomatoes, and Pepperoncini Peppers. It was very good and worth the $7. If you are looking for a smaller size salad, order one of their sides. The baked potato was also good! Crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside. It was a good size also. Hubby ordered the teriyaki chicken stir fry. Again a huge portion! Served with pita bread. He said it was full of flavor! More than enough food. This could easily be shared. If we lived in the area, we would definitely visit again.

love this place right on the water! Great selection and great drinks choices! The price is on point! If you're in the area, Take the family here! Great for a Sunday lunch! and then take a walk along the water!

They have really stepped it up! First, they completely redid their patio on the river. It wasn't open, yet, when we were there. With the new cement slab & furniture, it will be a great place to hang out, have drinks & dinner, and watch the freighters go by. We had the traditional Great Lakes dinners: perch & pickerel combo and the pickerel. Both were great. We weren't asked how we wanted our fish cooked. I'm glad we weren't asked because the pan-fried with slices of lemon under the fish was great. Just a hint of the lemon. The green beans were good as well. And everything is back on real dishes. The soups were very good, as always. Even the house wines were better. Not great, but a good step up from the old. The service was very good as well. Great to have a long-time traditional favorite back. Keep up the good work.

Huh.... Why such a low rating? The restaurant is nicely set on the St Clair River and having the view while eating was nice. The inside was nice and seemed clean, would definitely be a nice place for a party of some sort.We had a relatively newer waiter which he said so for himself but throughout the dinner he came over and checked in on us which was great because now a days they throw the food down and never come back till collection of their tipMy Girlfriend ordered the shrimp dinner she said it was great very fresh and was happy with the portion that she received. I got the Stacked Corn Beef dinner, the the beef was GREAT super tender and their sauce on the side was great. The fries are typical nothing crazy simple salted fries but we're good. The sand was HOT I had to let it wait to cool down prior to eating, as always I want a tad more beef... 'Ello Chaps,Riviera Restaurant in Marine City, Michigan is located downtown, right on St. Clair River with a view of Canada. They have a full bar and breakfast past 11 a.m. This is a classic Americana style food menu and hits perfectly. Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner - it's simple, good food at a great price with great views. Truly love everything about this place. Overall, I give Riviera Restaurant the rare five stars out of five.

Took advantage of a sunny day to roll into Marine City! Riviera was recommended but I always have to read the reviews. I have to tell you right away the piano man is not there on Sundays, never fear and they moved him to another area in the restaurant so it's not as distracting...do not let those comments put you off. So the restaurant is right on the river and it's really open and bright and clean. It's so welcoming and attractive. I actually called the restaurant after reading the reviews because I don't hear all that well and I was really concerned about the noise level. I had a chance to have a giggle with Reagan, the hostess, about the situ--she is just a gem!Our waitress was Adriana and she was absolutely a doll. We had lots of questions--I have major food issues so she basically covered everything with us. We started out with coffee-fresh brewed and strong. The bread basket was basic-had these great garlic toasts, mini breadsticks, etc. Coleslaw option was notable. The Katie salad was INCOMPARABLE! We shared it and had some left over- It was fabulous. The only change i would make would be a little less head lettuce. The clam chowder was epic- rich, creamy, a good amount of clams, not "over-potatoed" (I made that up).We went with the pickerel (blackened). Flesh was firm, no stray bones, a slight bit of heat in the flavor. So nice to see this on the menu- pickerel used to be a Thumb side standard; it's pretty rare now. No complaints. Definitely will revisit!Thanks to the crew!!

This place was delicious and the portions were absolutely huge! We went for lunch. I'm definitely going back even though I don't live by there. The View was amazing, it was right on the water. Waitress wasn't attentive but that's ok. I'll be back.

The view of the River is beautiful. that's the end of the positive. attended a play across the street and went to have dinner afterwards. we aren't from the area. We waited an hour for a table. Then after waiting almost an hour for apizza we ordered I found our server and asked what the hold up was. she went and checked. She came back and said they forgot to put in our order. she said they just put it in and would give it to us for free. We couldn't wait another 20 min for the pizza. We asked for our check. They charged us for our wine we drank. I asked if they would comp any of our wine order, she said no. 2 hours of our life that we can't get back. We won't be back. This place is so poorly managed-Beware!

A wait for food means they are doing something right, well the food was great and large portions, really liked the broiled cod and taco salad was huge, inside was redone and looks great!! Will be back!
