River Town Tavern

Nice little bar. No food as of yet but they did have a food truck outside. Decent drinks and beer selection. Seems like they are still getting on their feet a little but should be a nice place. Wish the bar tender would quit playing R&B songs constantly while skipping paying customer's songs but it is what it is.

We've been here a few times now... The food is very good, so is the service. Great ambiance inside and outdoors. We love the pub pretzels.

They have food now and entertainment on the weekends. Yes its noisy, that will get worked out, I am sure. And with the good weather upon us, the doors are open to the patio. Pic here of the patty melt, very good.

Great decor and ambiance. Service is also great at the bar, if just there to socialize and drink. Food leaves much to be desired. They've just started serving food and the menu s pretty scant. Some fish dishes, loaded fries, pub pretzels with a few dipping sauces. They share the kitchen with Mamacitas, so that could be the reason they have such a small menu. Large outdoor patio area, which should be great for summer. They're looking into booking live bands, which would be a nice addition to downtown Trenton.

Nice looking place , good food but service needs work. Maybe if I bought my server a beer he'd be in better spirits‍. Nevertheless, it has potential but until then there are other establishments nearby.

I was visiting a friend in Trenton and looking for a dog friendly restaurant. This place was great. They brought a bowl of water for my pooch, and when I requested a plain piece of grilled chicken for her, they didn't bat an eye. The people food was good. The service was great. The crowd was very friendly and many stopped by to visit with my doggie. Definitely recommend this place and will go back again when I visit.

Great location - Saturday nights are happening and the staff makes great drinks and the food is very good

What I witnessed last night was shocking. Three hours into an adult only birthday party, a miserable looking man in dreadlocks and wearing a 'SECURITY' shirt managed to clear the restaurant in short order. Here's what happened:The party started at 6pm. Thirty invited guests were enjoying food and drinks, and the tab was rolling into the thousands. But at 9pm, the mood quickly changed as this security guard suddenly appeared and abruptly began shaking down the party guests, demanding to see IDs. Curious, the patriarch of the group inquired as to why management or the bartending staff hadn't checked their ID before the drinks were poured, and was told, 'That's how it's done. If you don't like it, you can leave.' Stunned, the older gentleman was further told, 'You got a problem with that, muthafukka? We can take it outside.' Whoa. Party over.Tab closed.Everyone left.Others who also witnessed this are well-connected in the downriver community and they'll never return either. It will be known far and wide that the security personnel at Rivertown Tavern threatens their elderly patrons with bodily harm if they dare question policy and procedure. They'll also learn how the staff there appear inconvenienced, that management is noticeably absent, and the abbreviated menu is lackluster and overpriced.In fact, this establishment's only redeeming quality was the local musical talent playing outside on the patio.

Get some sound dreading to ceiling... great service.. but one loud person ruins a conversation... come on!
