Retro Rocks

This is a decent bar and restaurant. It's got kind of a cool atmosphere. It seems to be a pretty popular place because it was pretty busy for a Monday night. The food is OK. I wouldn't say it's great but it was good enough. I ordered a murder medium and it was absolutely well done The service was very slow They only had two people working the place. I was surprised that it was as expensive as it was also but that was so late because of the drinks. I don't think we were close till four star like others seem to think but it's OK.

Overall, a nice bar/restaurant with friendly staff and good ambience.The reason for the 3 star was we had to wait an hour for a burger. The wait staff were extremely apologetic and nice about it. They weren't busy and not sure what the hold up was in the kitchen. I would have given fewer Stars for such a long wait but the staff were really professional and made the situation right so im definitely willing to go back again. No hard feelings!We got a crab cheese app (yum), a lamb kofta off their specials menu, and an Argentinian burger (the meal that came out late). Nice drink menu. I got a Mocktail and the husband got a yummy cider.

The best part of this place - the retro vibes it gives off by having the "old school" album covers on the walls and playing music videos from the 80s. The worst part - everything else.We arrived and waited near the front door to be seated. nobody said anything to us and another couple walked in and sat down...and then another table told us to just get our own table. Strike 1.The server asked right away if we were ready to order and I said I needed just another minute as I was debating between two items...so he took off for "a minute" which turned to be closer to 8 minutes before he came back. Strike 2.The burger was viciously over cooked. I ordered it medium and it came out well done. No sign of pink anywhere in that burger and it was incredibly dry to eat. The texture of the beef was like that of a frozen pre-made burger patty. I did not like anything about it at all. Strike 3.By the time the server came back to check on us, I had had enough and just wanted to leave. He did offer to have the kitchen refire another burger for me but I was at that point of "enough is enough". He did take a little bit off the bill though.The only reason that I gave Retro Rocks two stars is the atmosphere. The food ruined all chances of the score being any higher.

First time visit and sat at the bar (where else would you sit?)... ordered an Old Fashioned and asked for the food menu. There were so many hints I was curious about, but the Skewers really caught my attention. I asked the bartender to surprise me with one, and she selected the Argentinian Skewer for me, medium, per my request, as I am careful about new places. The skewers came out with pita and dipping sauce, truly medium, making me wish I had asked for medium rare, but so delicious, tasty and rich!Sitting at the bar and enjoying the overall vibe is definitely enjoyable, reminding me of the pumped up nineties with music videos on two big screens. There is your retro. Great place, I can recommend, I will be back to try more!

The service was just acceptable but it all became above and beyond with the first bite.Not to mention the decore was an entire vibe

When I lived in saginaw I never once went into retro rocks. This place has a nice decor as well as the service is amazing. Now the food I got the lamb chops medium well and they were good I would like to try other things off the menu. If you find yourself traveling to saginaw, mi try this place out.

Menu has a nice variety and the food is excellent! Service is outstanding. Very friendly atmosphere!

Whoever the old guy is by the front desk who talked down to the other lady employees needs to be fired or put in early retirement.I was a customer and was just a few feet away. I am embarrassed for these ladies. I asked the bartender if he's the owner and she said no. I said no one should be talked to like that and she said that they are all used to it. The owner, Ryan Neil needs to fire this man immediately. The 20th century is over and I will not return to a business where the old men treat the young ladies like that. Fix this.

Great food and wonderful service every time we come here. I've never had a bad meal when we eat here. Any of the kabobs are amazing! When my daughter comes home from Detroit this is where she has to eat!!

Everything we ordered was great and Staff was Excellent!! Highly recommend. Just make sure you get there early they do get pretty busy.
