I was out on a business trip and I needed to find dinner near my hotel. The guy at our hotel recommended Redwood for the steaks and a house made root beer. I walked in and the hostess asked if I wanted to sit at the bar since I was by myself. So, I took a seat at the bear and was greeted right away.I did learn that the brewmaster was no longer making the root beer, but they did have a nice drink selection. I ordered a 10 oz sirloin steak that came with mashed potatoes and a house saladThe salad came out and it looked pretty nice. It had greens, onions, cranberries, walnuts and bleu cheese. I could have done without the bleu cheese, but it was no biggie. My steak arrived and looked really nice with a demiglace and some veggies on top of it. It was cooked pretty perfectly medium rare. The restaurant itself had a kind of rustic vibe to it. It was also a brewery of sorts and had quite a lot of seating. Our waitress even offered us a discount for staying at our hotel, which was awesome. Overall, the food was good for the value and pretty tasty. I would definitely give it a shot if you are near the area.

Feels like this place has gone downhill, just like the Courtyard across the street, since my last visit in 2018. I got the tuna as a starter. It was smaller than expected but that was okay since it was just for me in addition to the main. The tuna wasn't the highest quality but it was passable. Seaweed salad is usually pretty much identical anywhere you get it but this one also felt a bit of a step down. The mushroom risotto wasn't quite there for me. It didn't have the right texture, maybe they didn't use the right arborio rice? The rice felt different, like it wasn't actually arborio and was covered up with something else to simulate the creaminess. On this Tuesday night, it was also quite empty. I remember Redwood being packed. Came for a trip down memory lane, left feeling sad at what this place is now.

Prompt service red snapper on a bed of spinach and mushroom risotto. Good looking dish. They brew their own award wining beers. Having a German-style Kolsch and it is very good. Also sampling an Imperial Stout to see if it is similar to a Kaiser Wilhelm I had in Hungary in 1997. It is fantastic flavor. Wow what a lucky find. On a trip to speak to a camera supplier... nearby. It is great. Bon a petitAsked for a Growler of the Imperial Russian Stout. OMG I am so lucky. I have been looking for something like the Kaiser I found years and years ago and stumbled over this place. You got to try it.

This place was very okay. The venue itself is very spacious and kept clean. Our beer was fine. We had the nachos as an appetizer and they were not that good and pretty low quality. As an entree we had the steak tips and they were not that great. The servers and hostess all had a pretty short attitude and clearly did not want to be there. This area doesn't have many restaurant options. We were between here and roadhouse. Would go to roadhouse next time.

The food was very tasty. Our server CK was attentive and provided great suggestions. The ambiance was "fun" because the music in the background was interesting. We were visiting from Chicago, IL and we started with spinach artichoke which was really good. The pita/flat bread provided with it was tasty. Next we had chilli this was aslo really good just don't forget to ask for onions and cheese if that's your thing. We had cesar salad and an 18 oz ribeye cooked perfectly medium. We had a side of spinach mushroom risotto. All pretty tasty. Thre steak flavorful. Tried the voodoo drink which was rum based it was tasty and had 2 redwood beers brewed in house both exceptional.

Went on a Saturday, busy but no wait. I had ribs and mashed potatoes, salad. It was delicious. My daughter got pot roast and root vegetables. The vegetables were 90% celery and onions, just a few carrot slices. I mentioned it to the manager, she said that they would "throw more carrots in." Celery is not a root vegetable, and my daughter can't eat onions. I was disappointed.

For what I look up the reviews first hand it was 3-4 stars. So where it's at and the town that's is about right. The place gave like fancy but yet nice where it won't hurt your wallet much. There was deer/elk lights with nice tables and you can see the cooks some what cooking the food and where they make their not to bad beer. The waitress where really nice and did there job right. The prices aren't bad but they aren't great either. My wife burger was just a little over cook. The fries were hot but not tasting like the garlic parm they are suppose to be. I didn't get fries that I ask instead I got mash potatoes but still cook. The ribs I got were cook but could have cooked a little longer. But overall I give it a 4 stars.

Traveling, this looked like a great place to stop and we were right. Very reasonable, I had the two 4oz filets over crab cakes and a caesar salad which was all delicious. The croutons were crunchy and garlicky which I love! My husband had pot roast and neither of us could finish our meals so we had food for another day. The onion/beer soup was good with the traditional 'sheet' of cheese over it and my only wish for next time is that the loaf of bread was a little more done, crispier. Oh, we had the burrata appetizer and it was excellent but let it be known, if there are only two of you dining, you will each have to eat a whole burrata which, for me, is no problem! Can't wait to visit again and JULIE, our waitress, was TERRIFIC~very personable like we'd always known her!
