Public House Food + Drink

I love coming here when I did. I was a first time customer to the place a week back, I came in with my brother. He comes here often and turned me onto the place. I feel the food was amazing. Unique flavors, and really good.The service was dialed in, eveyrone was very nice. I feel the place was clean, and everyone was helpful with the menu. I really enjoyed the food and will be back.

Upon walking in, I've not walked in these front doors in years. It's the old Big Boy's restaurant establishment. And I gotta be honest. This place is well re-done. My wife and I ordered the seasonal drink, Winter Margaritas. Very tasty with the salt rims. I ordered salmon meal with sweet potato side. & my wife order Avocado Chicken sandwich with Mac'n Cheese side. I also ordered an old fashion drink as well. Both of us had ice water also. The meals were hot and tasty and the drinks were good too. We ordered the Buckeye pie desert with ice cream. It was tastey. We were waited on by Lucy. She was awesome. We'll come back again.

In town for a dog show. Never had been ti Monroe so a quick search on yelp was necessary to point us in the right direction (thanks fellow elites!). Quiet music played. The overhead lighting was soft with almost a candle lit feel. The back wall is planked in pecan and their side wall by kitchen is a galvanized steel accent wall so Id say its a bit of a rustic feel. The hostess let us pick where we wanted to sit. (Always nice) This time we chose perfectly. A cozy little round table in the corner that had the best server possible- Lynnell! I ordered the 1/2 portion of the beet n carrot salad. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. (Yes, to the point it needed to be shouted and all caps). It was huge. I shudder to think what a full size was.Then I got the chicken avocado sandwich. That was very good. I would get that again. Grilled chicken (generous portion) with lettuce, tomato, bacon and avocado. It was very flavorful but so large so I took half home. (Thats actually a pro too!) My husband got a cuban sandwich that Lynnell suggested. I see why that is popular. Finally a place that sells a cuban that looks and tastes like a real cuban. My hubs was nice enough to let me take a bite and when we return to Public House, I might just order that. Delicious. Tip: Save room for the key lime pie. That was very good. We also tried the banana cake. It was very good, but the pie is the winner. So, if you're on the fence on where to go.... I would choose this place. It really was excellent on aesthetics, service, menu variety, cleanliness, speed of food delivery and the quality of the food was outstanding. Parking easy as they have their own lot. I would recommend asking for Lynnell. She really adds to the entire trip in with her service and personality. You wont be disappointed. It deserves more than five stars.

A great find in Monroe, Michigan! Easy to get to, from I75, and well worth the 5 minute drive. Brunch was excellent as was the service. Pleasant place inside and felt comfortable. Easy parking on site. Hope to get back there!

Wow! This food was incredible. I ordered the special- it was an Italian sausage hash with butternut squash, potatoes, brussel sprouts, onions, green peppers, etc. It was delicious! We also ordered another special that was an Italian eggs Benedict. It was also super tasty. The coffee was great and they even sent us on our way with a to-go cup. Everything was perfect. We can't wait to visit again!

Joined a friend for lunch and we both had the Italian grilled cheese. Sandwich was outstanding just like the service. The homemade chips were a little overdone but tasted good. I will be back for sure! Decor was a nice family atmosphere.

The service was great as we got our food and drinks very quickly.I ordered the steak and fries. I'm both gluten and dairy free so I checked with the waitress to ensure they could make my meal properly. There was no problem thankful. I was never asked about my steak cooking done ness. It came out very well done and wasn't that great. I really enjoyed the fries. The margarita I ordered was just meh. Everyone else's food at my table looked amazing. I assume that I just ordered the wrong thing? If I am back in the area I will be sure to stop in again and grab something else to eat

Love this place. We were going to eat here tonight but it was closed...the good and service was excellent
