Not your everyday grocery to go to but a must when you're looking for fresh and quality ingredients for home cooking and special occasions.Ready to go meals is a delight to see with your eyes as you walk by their display case - meticulously prepared and stacked by the prepared foods department. Meals priced per pound but really taste good. Roasted chicken is highly recommended to bring home and enjoy for lunch or dinner - left over chicken soup the next day :-) no time or no talent to cook - grab a container of soup, wraps, salads or dressings. Make your own bowl of salad, pasta, side and main dishes - priced per pound as well so choose wisely what you pick and put in a container. Not sure about the taste? You may ask the food handler to try a sample from the display case.wine selections over the top. Wine sommelier approved. Not only wine but also an abundant selection of liquor and non alcoholic beverages are available on display. No idea about wines? You may ask suggestions from the wine experts assigned at this section. Admire the variety of flowers (in pots, bouquet arrangements or individually sold), every day greeting cards and yes! The chocolates from See's, Sanders and high percentage cacao can be seen and purchased. Plum Market is all the way high quality - starting from their produce, the wine, the meat, cheese and deli, hot and cold foods, floral, cafe, apothecary section and educational toys for kids. Known also for selling Zingerman breads and pastries, Atchaz pies and Detroit based coffee company.Aisles are wider, the floors shiny (but slip resistant) and clean, perishable and non perishable items are well organized/categorized. Plum Market team members are very helpful and knowledgeable. Theirs the vibe of "you get what you pay for" customer service. Parking is expansive and free. Expect to see fancy looking automobiles. No valet parking yet :-)The West Bloomfield location is my favorite, next to Bloomfield, Ann Arbor, downtown Detroit and Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Awesome store if you're not a price conscious shopper. They have the best of everything and make Whole Foods look like Aldi lol. 90% of people can't afford to make this their regular grocery store, but it's great for special occasions and when you feel like treating yourself. They used to sell all of their liquor at state minimum prices, but they no longer do that. Sigh... Kind of a bummer that they weren't satisfied with that level of profit.

Extremely disappointing experience. This used to be one of my favorite markets to go to. And what was an honest mistake from of the cashiers/bag persons turned into a really sour experience overall. The team member had forgotten to bag an item from my purchase, again honest mistake. However, making your guests have to drive all the way back and to offer not even a 5% coupon or some gesture of kindness speaks volumes of the upper management's decision making and policies and procedures. The customer service rep, Rachel, was very nice and gracious. But it's really frustrating to just be given a "sorry about that" with no offer to make it right. It almost felt like the team members were breathing a sigh of relief when I didn't push the issue. What kind of environment is the ownership team and upper management creating for their guest experiences? Not only that but I get out of my car when I went to go pick up my items and see the parking space in front of me is covered in glass. Again, a big reflection on the values and attention to detail that the leadership is communicating to their team. As a fan of the brand, please do better.

I usually have a good experience here but this girl named Blake was incredibly rude and has very low manners to be in a position of dealing with the public. I would recommend this store but not this employee to deal with. The paczkis that they had brought in from Palace looked just ok and I came all this way to get a strawberry bundle which I was told they had only to get here and they have NONE.

We were in the area and decided to stop in here just to pick up apples and bananas. The store is on the smaller side and really nice with a good selection of items. The produce was nice as was the fresh meat counter. The guys who helped us at the fresh meat counter and Kitchen prepared foods were both very friendly and helpful. The young lady who helped us in the bakery seemed to be bothered by us, not friendly at all. Ambiance, it's a grocery store, clean, well stocked and priced on the high side. We will not shop here as regular customers but MIGHT stop in for a specialty item when in the area but even that is doubtful. There are other stores nearby like Nino Salvaggio, Trader Joes, Whole Foods plus a Kroger that are much more reasonable for weekly grocery shopping. The 3 stars are for the bakery service and prices. UPDATE, the peach pie is terrible because the filling is like a peach paste or something it's just awful. I will leave my review stars at 3

The healthy food options were wonderful, the check out lanes were well staffed and workers were very kind. The salad bar looked beautiful, and the decorations you could purchase for Easter got us! Tulips to brighten our families day. We moved to this area, and we will definitely get a rewards card and return often. If you have gluten or dairy restrictions, tons of choices here.

Please train your newbie baggers to NOT over pack the paper bags. I always test them by feeling the weight . I asked twice. NicelyI also found one of my bagel bags with a smashed bagel; this was not damaged when I selected it from the shelf. So that's 7-8 minutes I won't get back; having to run back in and replace
