Plato's Coney Island was fine for what is was, a little home town diner with decent food and ok prices.The recent problem is the outrageous price gauging for sub par food, and constantly charging prices higher than what's on their menu.This is not "high end restaurant" so having high end prices is a real turn off. Plato's used to not be bad place for a quick breakfast but raising prices and not quality isn't a good business model.

After leaving a horrible experience elsewhere, my family and I came over to the always cheerful, always quick Plato's. Platos has been a staple in the Canton Community for years upon years. As a family establishment, they treat you like you're a part of their home.We arrived at 12:31 and we had our food and we were enjoying it all by 12:50pm. That's what we call service. I think above all, the service here is what always brings me back. You all do a fantastic job of taking care of those who come through your doors and I thank you for that. And the fries? Oh my gosh golly goodness! So crispy and wonderful. Y'all are fantastic and you are all so appreciated! Keep it up. The place down the road needs to take a tip from this wonderful facility and do better to be a part of the canton community.

Back in our old hometown visiting old favorites. Plato's is a very nice Coney Island with a large breakfast selection to choose from. Salads, sandwiches, entrees and the main attraction- Coney Dogs and Loose Burgers. It was a busy Sunday morning. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and our food arrived lightning fast. The Spinach Omelette could have had a little more Feta but the Spinach was super fresh. My wife enjoyed a Loose Burger and a Coney Dog. Warning! Portions are massive.

This place deserves more stars and more business. I live in Illinois and often long for a good Coney: I like Chicago dogs but NOTHING beats a steamed bun, natural casing hot dog buried in chili and onions. We came here because National Coney Island was closed due to staffing shortages. Plato's had no such issues: our waitress was kind, efficient, attentive and we got a fantastic deal.Mark it down: Tuesdays has a great deal here with a coney and fries for $3.50! We ended up with 4 coneys, an order if fries, a bowl of chili, and an order of onion rings for just over $16!!!!! Their chili is great, as good as any Coney restaurant, their dogs have that pop when you bite into them, and their fries were great.Writing this review makes me want to go again!

If you are like me and have never heard of Plato's Coney Island, then you need to try it. We were traveling through to visit family and stopped here for lunch on the way. We are very glad we did. This just may be better than Lafayette Coney or National Coney! Yes, Plato's is that good. Seat yourself at a clean booth or table. Pull out the menu and order something good. We had our hearts set on coney dogs and they are delicious. Just happened to be here on a Tuesday and was surprised to take advantage of their Tuesday specials. We tried their coney dogs, fries, onion rings, and a bowl of chili for the three of us. Tons of hot food delivered quickly after ordering. Every thing was hot, fresh, and delicious. We left feeling very satisfied.

Yeees one of my favorite places to go. From the service to the food. Every single time I have gone I have enjoyed. Their Greek Salads are the bomb.com. Today I had a Tom's Omelet minus the gravy. And again no disappointment in anything. The server was just as beautiful inside as she was outside. Have been coming to this plane for over 2 decades and will continue to do so.I'm going to add this because you have people come here speaking from their feelings and not facts. Comparing this Plato's to the one in Garden City. I saw someone say they were imitating them. You can't imitate yourself. Both of these establishments started from the same family. Do your research before you say something silly. "Plato's Place has been family-owned since it's opening in 1969. The original Plato's Place is located in Garden City, Michigan, but has expanded to a second location Plato's Coney Island in Canton, Michigan about 20 years ago. BEST CHICKEN GREEK SALAD! When I have heard about Plato's having great Greek salad, I thought "hmm better try'". I went and ordered it and there was a girl like a kindergartener eating from mom's salad. She looked at me and said "That is why it of this world " and she was right.
