I work a few miles from here and was looking for something other than fast food and decided to give them a try.The guy working the counter greeted me when I first walked in and was very friendly. The restaurant itself reminded me of a small pizza place that you might find in NYC.I tried one of each pizza that they had available when I was there, a pepperoni and their Mediterranean. Both slices were generous in size, and had really good flavor. They use a nice flavorful pepperoni that adds a little spice, and the Mediterranean was light and fresh. The dough was just the right thickness for my liking that gave the pizza some stability but was thin enough again reminding me of NY pizza. As for grease, I expected that my box would have the normal pizza grease stain but to my surprise it was not like that.I came away full off the slices, and had to resist going back to grab another which would have sent me into a food coma. I will certainly be back!*I meant to take some pictures but I couldn't hold myself back long enough lol.

To be fair, I'm writing this restaurants review for the wings and salad - likely not what most would write it for. I'm on a keto diet so I don't eat the pizza. Wings and Greek salad are decent. I'd go back, but might try some other places first. Wings are oven baked so healthy, but not as crispy as the best oven wings that I've had before.

Usually prefer thick crust pizza , but since I wasn't paying tried New York style. Cooking area was beautifully clean with the cook constantly wiping. Pizza came with bacon, mushrooms, pepperoni and garlic. Great combo which I enjoyed.

If you are looking for a quick snack, Pizza Spot can fill the bill. If you are looking for a good version of a NY Style slice, keep on walking. The one redeeming quality of this place, which brought it from two to three stars, is the crispy edged pepperoni cups with their signature pools of molten fat. I recognize these are not everyone's cup of tea, so big props to Pizza Spot for using a pepperoni that breaks from the conventional mainstream for the sake of deliciousness and their delightful textural contrast. My pizza loving daughter was so disinterested in her plain cheese slice ($3.50) that she abandoned it half way. I offered her my pepperoni slice ($4.00) which she agreed was the better of the two. It's really the crust that drags down the pies. While it is nicely thin, and even has some good color, you can see from the undercarriage that Pizza Spot uses the dreaded pizza screens. The dough also does not develop enough flavor on its own to carry the pie. Pizza crusts should be delicious, with a nice rise on the end, and a crisp yet tender texture. This had none of that. With 4.5 stars on Yelp, perhaps I went in expecting more. We are still in Michigan after all, and I probably shouldn't expect most people to know good NY Style Pizza. I'll close with the following thought as a public service to my fellow Michiganders: Being thin enough to fold, is not what makes a NY Style slice worth eating.-The below was added on April 4 after hearing from the Business Owner:I am not entirely sure why the business owner felt my review was not legitimate. While I might appreciate the offer a fresh pie to make up for the lackluster slices, I would graciously demure. Just for a little background... on Yelp, I have written over 1,000 reviews and over 100 of those have been for pizza. In Upstate New York, I had the honor of serving as a pizza judge for several years in the Tournament of Pizza. Back in the blog era, and going all the way back to my Chowhound days, I discussed thoughts on pizza extensively. In some ways, I agree with the owner. He has a good point. There are indeed pie shops and slice shops. At Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix you go in and get a whole pie. At Pepe's in New Haven you get a whole pie. At Loui's in Detroit you get a whole pie. At Joe's in New York City? It's slices. Sure, you can get a whole pie, but here is the thing I don't think midwesterners understand about New York Style pizza. It. Is. All. About. The. Slice. What a mind blowing admission to hear from the owner of a New York Style pizza shop that he expects the slices to be mediocre and that they should not be the basis of a review. Might a whole pie fresh out of the oven at Pizza Spot be better than the slices I was served? Maybe. Probably. But when a pizza place claims to make New York Style Pizza and promotes their slices heavily, getting top billing on their sign, receiving prominent placement on their menu, and blazing in neon from the window, I expect the owner to take a little more pride in them. Because in New York the shops that do slices well are amazing! Amazing. It's my personal favorite form of pizza. And it's not just in New York. There are great slice shops found in Philly, New Jersey, and even right here in Ann Arbor!Slices that might sit around for a couple of hours in the case can be restored back to magnificent form in the oven. That second bake crisps up the bottom crust to a thing of beauty that simply cannot be achieved with a pie that's "fresh" out of the oven. To hear slices be disrespected in the comment below was not just deeply upsetting, but also quite telling. I have no reason to return.

If you're looking for a new york style pizza this is definitely the spot! The texture and size is perfect and the small pepperonis are flavorful/crispy. I have yet to try anything besides a basic pizza and the garlic knots; which those are good too but a little too hard/crispy instead of fluffy. Doesn't take too long to get your order and staff is friendly!

One of my favorite pizza places in Plymouth. I usually pop into Pizza Spot for a slice on impulse when I'm downtown, but I've ordered whole pies too. Staff is always really friendly. The pizza is like NY style, so if that's not your preferred style, then definitely go somewhere else. As much as I like classic pepperoni pizza, you should NOT sleep on the Mediterranean pizza - it's really good. Look, I'll be honest: I love most pizza. And I love to fold my pizza slices. So I love pizza spot.

Environment looks great, staff is good too. Food is good for a gourmet pizza spot, but nothing special. For the quality of pizza I would've liked a slightly lower price. I got the BBQ chicken pizza, I also would've liked a little more chicken.
