Pizza Express

This used to be my go-to place for a decent affordable pizza. They have a couple of carry-out specials during the week for people that just want a single pie, so that was a big plus.Over the past ~6 months though, something has changed internally where the quality has really gone down. Biggest problem is raw salt being added to the pizza making the food nearly inedible.Have no idea why anyone would do this as Pizzas are salty enough as it is and doesn't need course salt added after baking.They have great breadsticks too, but same problem, way too much course salt added after baking. Also skip their Ranch dressing. You're charged extra $ for something that tastes thinned out and just nasty. I might come back and give their Subs a try, but for now their Pizza is hopeless.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday, I got two slices one cheese & one pepperoni. I ate the pepperoni one and it was really good, I was nauseous for the rest of the day. I ate the second one this morning, & been sick ever since.. I'm talking chills, sweats, weakness, headache, nauseous, knots in my stomach everything. Safe to say I have food poisoning and I'll never return because they made the slices to order, they weren't sitting around... so I'm absolutely confused.

I've been eating at Pizza Express since the 90s....It's always been delicious-the subs and breadsticks are phenomenal! My family and I love the staff and awesome customer service at this location! Keep up the good work guys!

After delivering to me for 3 years they said tonight that they don't deliver to my area. I told them you guys deliver to me ALL THE TIME. Sorry Ma'm, my manager says no. I guess I'll have to find a new place.

Can't say enough about this place! We order the bread sticks with garlic dip every time; favorite in the area. Always perfectly seasoned and fluffy! The pizza is delicious as well the specialty and pepperoni are my top picks. The boyfriend loves the Italian subs it's a must almost every order for him. Pizza is always ready when I go for pick up. And when we ask for delivery they are quick and on time.

The food is always good. The breadsticks and the dip are my favorite I will support this local pizza shop over a chain pizza shop any day!

Very disappointed with the outcome of my order, definitely not a 4 star pizza place. The pizza was extremely greasy and the ingredients tasted like they've been in a warm refrigerator for 2 days then served. Will not be eating here again unfortunately.

I had ignored this place for years and years because it seemed like a hole in the wall but sometime back in 2018, their insanely low-priced Wednesday night pizza special (Medium for $4.50 with tax at the time... Now $5.61) made me give it a shot. I was floored at how good it was and I have been a steady customer for the last 4 years with never a disappointment at any of their food, other than them removing items from the menu that I really liked.Their pizza features a regular style crust rather than thin, Detroit or Chicago but it is always amazingly crispy when you bite in. They add on a thick layer of cheese and a huge list of toppings that is more than just the basics over a solid tomato sauce.Beyond pizza they also have the amazing garlic breadsticks and cheese dip that have been a staple in the lakes area of Oakland County (think Waterford / Keego Harbor) since at least the 1970s and are almost impossible to find anywhere else. As a snack I will literally order a bag of sticks (6 or 12) and just chow down.The ribs are as good as places like Highland House that gets huge praise for them. There is a large variety of subs, plus chicken wings and even nachos that they cook up in the same oven as the pizza and sticks. They even feature a half-dozen different types of salad. So there is definitely something for everyone.The only reason this place is not on any of the "best of" lists is that it is carry-out only, not part of a chain and is not in a "cool" part of town (drop Pizza Express into Ferndale or Royal Oak and EVERYONE would be talking about it). I've never been moved to do a review before but after all this time, I just felt I had to. Italian sub was Delicious, the small pizza was solid- will be going back and trying waffle fry's

Best pizza! They have the best garlic breadsticks, and don't forget their try their garlic cream cheese and onion and dill dipping sauce. Absolutely amazing I've been eating there since I was a little girl
