Pita King

we have dined here many times over many years. my husband and a friend had lunch there and said they were under new ownership! what a difference a new team has made!!!! Highly recommend!!!Wonderful service and food!

fast service and the girl behind the counter there looks and sounds exactly like Sandra Bullock. food was good and hit the spot ordered take out. only waited five minutesdef a reg stop now

The overall quality of the greek salad went down. I ordered a size large and it was not that big and did not have enough meat to justify spending $20 on it.

Ordered a chicken shawarma, fattoush salad and a small hummus. The hummus is good but was a little too salty. The chicken on the other hand was quite bland and lacked flavor like normal chicken shawarma meat. The salad was great and the service was even better.

All of our routines were disrupted during covid and places that we never noticed before are now suddenly on our radar. That's what happened with Pita King for me. It's in the strip mall with Trader Joe's so you can order your food and then do your shopping. I think they would probably adjust the time that your order is ready based on the length of the Trader Joe's line. I've been here a few times now and everything has been tasty, the people who work here are nice, and the food is ready quickly. The portions are very large so most people could either get two meals out of one order or could share an order. It's a small place that looks like it never had much seating so they are doing takeout only currently.

Chicken shawarma is my favorite meal so I've tasted many. For me the chicken could be a bit more flavorful and perhaps thinner sliced but the overall taste of the shawarma pita was a delight. Great garlic sauce and pickles, wrap had some crispness.

It may sound trite to suggest that a dish contains a symphony of flavors, but that was precisely what I experienced when eating my very first kareemo wrap from Pita King. Maybe it's more like taking a stroll through a garden of delicious Mediterranean delights. Because there are so many things jammed into that rolled pita, that it would be impossible to have them all in one bite. So as you make your way down through this scrumptious treat, you experience the earthiness of the falafel, the creaminess of the hummus, the tang of the feta, the brightness of the tabouli, the caramelization of the eggplant, the juiciness of the tomato, the crunch of the pickle, and the bite of the garlic sauce. It's all rolled up in a crisp toasted pita, and that last morsel where all of the sauces have gathered up together, is the best.Oh yeah, and I asked them to add hot sauce into the mix, to spice it up even a bit more. Seriously, I don't know how I'm going to venture out and try anything else from this great little strip mall spot. The good news is since it's in the same shopping plaza as Trader Joe's I'll have ample opportunity. Perhaps, I'll swing in for a snack or two before doing my shopping. That would be a clever way to try the lentil soup, the spinach pie, or even those little sweets on the counter. They say not to shop hungry. Pita King is totally going to save the day.I do wish there wasn't a TV in the dining area. Certainly I'm in the minority on this issue, but I hate being distracted from appreciating well made food, even if it's a very inexpensive sandwich from a quick service, casual eatery. So far, this is my favorite of the little pita places scattered around Ann Arbor. However, I am still new at this game, and there's a lot more to eat. Still, Pita King is already a strong contender for the best of the bunch.

This place is so good! A co-worker suggested it for lunch and I've already eaten there 3 times in one week! The food is delicious, it's quick & reasonably priced. Great spot for a quick lunch or dinner!

Tasty food and great prices. Really kind family feel. I love the king pita with extra garlic sauce and my wife gets the falafel pita. Cajun fries are also tasty!
