I stopped in for the first time because a friend has been several times.I tried the quinoa bowl. The food is pretty bland. The side sauce helped, but I was surprised at how plain the food I ordered tastes. It smells good inside. I wonder if the fried rice balls or quesadillas are tastier. This isn't fast food, so prepare to wait. They do offer fast, friendly service, outdoor benches, and a private parking lot.

wow, wow, and wow!i have had the absolute PLEASURE, of enjoying Pink Flamingo on three different occasions. Once at their pop-up in Cork Town (highly recommend following their IG for info!), once at a food policy conference which they catered, and recently i was able to get out to their brick and mortar on Woodard. All three occasions did not disappoint! the complexity of flavor, the locally sourced ingredients, and the joyous staff make Pink Flamingo a true gastronomy. i will spend a little time talking about the two events in the past. Other than the fact that i literally ate 6 chicken salad sandwiches and took one to go at the conference (nuff said). However, in my most recent experience i was driving up Woodward and decided to pop in and see what was on the menu this week. The Quesadilla dinner caught my eye. Three quesadillas, filled with a protein of your choice, come with two sides. For protein, i went with the blackened white fish, and for sides, i chose beans and fried plantains. Rich and piquant flavor on the fish, met by a crispy cheezy quesadilla, all together it was savory and scrumptious. Plus, the sides were perfect additions, the plantains offering a sweet and salty bite and the beans cooked perfectly. Loved every bite and can't wait to make Pink Flamingo a regular lunch spot! Also great storefront, they sell locally made products so it's great to see those dollars stay in the community and the collaborative promotion of other businesses! And the staff were super friendly coming from around the counter to talk with us. Also, for a Friday at 3, the place was not too busy at all. Quiet, easy in and out. If you are having an event, have them cater. If it's Thursday in the summer and you're looking to kick back around a fire and fill your face with nutritious, delicious, and creative food, go to the Cork Town spot (weather permitting).

Was at an event catered by Pink Flamingo today. Really great food. Several salads and vegetable dishes all of which were extremely delicious, flavorful and creatively flavored. And I am picky about salads. I don't live nearby, but want to get the word out that this is some seriously tasty!

I didn't know what to expect as I was recommended by a friend. The menu sounds awesome and a ton of fun. My biggest issue was that the food was cold. I semi understand that it is one of those places that the food is pre-ordered in advanced but it makes me curious of what is going on in the actual restaurant that the food is picked up from and why did I have to specify what time to pick up as if there was a possibility the food would be hot and fresh at pick up time. Having to reheat the food really is an inconvenience (I don't own a microwave)and especially since the food is in the mid tier range for price. The dish I chose was the chicken korma. Heating it up would not have improved my impression on the taste of the dish. The silver lining was the lemon blueberry handpie. That was cute and tasted great with the hibiscus lemonade!I feel like for a place to have "to-go" in its name, only take orders on Friday, and requires pick a pick up time to be chosen that the food should be a representation of those factors.

My go-to for delicious, wholesome eats. They draw often upon seasonal and local ingredients at prices comparable to less healthy and sustainable carryout dinner options. I've been a fan for a couple years after I ordering the rice bowl (pictured) which comes with basmati rice, sweet potatoes, greens, and beans. I would often pick whitefish as a protein. While currently unavailable, as they have adjusted their offerings due to COVID-19 to to provide weekly meal service (pickup or delivery only on Fridays with pre-order), I've been impressed with their rotating heat-at-home options. To this day, I regularly reminisce over their guinea fowl dinner (pictured) and have enjoyed many more meals since. Don't let the dishes that I mentioned fool you: most of the menu is vegetarian, vegan, and GF friendly.

Just discovered this delightful take out place on Woodward. We love their vegan options, with the menu changing every week, we always find something new to enjoy. Delicious soups, desserts and their seasonal dishes are wonderful (scallion pancakes, rhubarb crisp, soups and stews). They have great options for everyone - favorites include mac and cheese and empanadas.
