Amazing Detroit style deep dish. The slices are huge and loaded with unique toppings. Tons of vegetarian/vegan options & customizable. I ordered a speciality flavor a few years ago and had no clue you could still order it despite it not being on the menu, would be great to get that option somehow as we came from a few states away! I am an old time Pie Sci'er. The last year or so, not so much. I was told that there is new ownership, which would make sense but it still isn't enough to bring me back. Not sure what the change is but I suspect there has been a down grade of ingredients. The cheese tastes like its lower quality, the crust no longer has that crisp to it - it's more spongy, and there is an after taste that that coats your mouth, like seed oily. Like I said, it's been a slow decline but tonight's pizza was the deal breaker for us. Sadly, we will not be ordering here again.

I'm always on the lookout for delicious gluten free pizza, and my husband and I were in the area, so we decided to give Pie Sci a chance. Goodness! I am so glad that we did. The pizza was large and delicious. The staff were very friendly. There aren't a lot of tables to sit at, but that wasn't a big deal to us. The gluten free crust is thin and crispy, somewhat like a thick cracker. We got the Pickle Rick. My husband, who eats gluten, even said it was one of the best pizzas he's had. There is street parking, and as it's across the street from a university, I'd imagine it's quite popular among college students. We will definitely be back.

I am a fiend for Detroit style pizza. I so wanted to love Pie Sci, but I can't say anything really stood out. The menu itself is quite creative. With options like Hawaii 5-0, pickle rich, and even Alfredo. I went for the fennel sausage, Which sounds wonderful in theory. Technically speaking, it falls short. I'm looking for the distinctive crispy outer crust I've come to love and the chewy thickness of the crust itself. The pizza itself would could have really benefited from a sauce to top it off(as often you find on this style), or even a drizzle of some sort. I wish I could say more, but it's all just subtle and underwhelming. Since the very first encounter I had with Detroit style pizza, I've been shouting its praises from the rooftops. I've now had it all over the country, and some absolutely incredible pies to say the least. But one thing that continues to mystify me is why I simply cannot find a great Detroit style in.....Detroit! The search continues....

I wish I could write a better review since this location was open when the pizza place down the road had run out of pizza. Unfortunately the slices were hard as a rock and as you can tell by the photo it might have been sitting in the warmer for hours. The salad I had no hope for once I opened the container. It did not taste fresh and didn't give me the refreshing feeling a Caprese salad should give me. Also I asked for a fork ..... they said they did not have any. I was confused cause I did see plastic forks hidden away next to the register.

A friend and I had lunch there this afternoon. We walked in. Was not greeted. The workers were having a conversation. I was like damn....you would think they would have stopped and be respectable. This was our first time there....they didn't give us a run down, made suggestions, or asked if we needed anything. We sat outside on the patio. It looked nice with picnic tables and umbrellas, and the pretty flowers. The pizza (Poblano Picasso) was good. Customer service out weighs everything.... They need to do BETTER.

Long overdue review for Pie-Sci - one of my favorite Detroit style pizzas ( already you can also find a traditional round pie here if that's your thing)! My favorite thing about this shop is the variety and uniqueness of the pies you can find here. They also have a lot of veg/vegan options as well and their pizzas can be made GF, so a very inclusive shop for everyone's diet and preferences. Service has always been great and 'za has always hit the spot. Highly recommend supporting local here instead of your run of the mill chain pizza. Dine in or carry out at this location. This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and especially in Detroit. It's a nice spot to get some pizza. I enjoyed my meat lover's pizza (small for $15) but I do wish the crust on the bottom was a little more crisped. But overall, I still really liked the pizza. The daily slices they have are also not too expensive ($7). It's a good option as well for something quick. The people were very nice answering our questions as we didn't know what we should get. Overall, nice pizza spot.

OMG, so yummy. The quirkiness of the place and the unconventional pizza styles had me coming back to this place over and over again while in Detroit for a month. I highly recommend trying one of their menu items rather than building your own. There's one menu item that has cashew cheese and a white sauce drizzled on top - it blew my mind! I didn't think vegan pizza could be that delicious. The spot has an artsy vibe that makes it fun to visit. Of course, if you're in a rush and opt to get food to go, you'll get it in one of their pizza boxes with their fun logo. Looking at the one-eyed walking pizza slice while I eat feels nostalgic - it reminds me of the times I read Korean comics or Calvin & Hobbes while snacking into the night as a kid.

I ordered the BLT White pizza with ham added and Mayo drizzle on Large Square!OMG Absolutely Delicious!!!!!! Customer Service 5+ Stars!
