Pete's Coney Island II

After spending the past couple of months away from my home state of Michigan I knew I had to get a coney dog the second I came back. So I came across Pete's Coney Island in hopes of getting a delicious dog to satisfy my cravings. The food came out and I was drooling and spazzing with excitement until I got a look at the casing of the dog. It seemed to have a white pigment and appear undercooked. After taking the first bite I was unfortunately disappointed with the flavor receptors that were activated in my mouth. Long story short I was far from impressed with the coneys dogs at this restaurant. The service however was pleasant. The wonderful ladies were super helpful and attentive to ensure we had a good experience. The ambiance also had a local joint type feel which is what I'm always looking for. Excellent customer service, mediocre hot dogs.

Family stop for breakfast on Christmas Eve. So much going on, including a birthday, that it's really nice to start the day with a filling breakfast. Hot cakes and omelettes were perfect and you could not ask for friendlier service on such a busy morning. It was a delightful diner day!

Always good food, but haven't been for a while. Parking lot always full. Will probably return in near future.

Great traditional American food for a price you can't beat. The portions are huge and the servers are always welcoming and friendly. One of the best places in the area for breakfast all day.

Our group had lunch, food is decent and inexpensive. Ice Cream selection is large and tastes great. Would could visit again.

If you aren't looking for this place you would drive right by it. The food was excellent but the size of the sandwich i was given was very very small otherwise this would be a 5 star review. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and it had 3 small chicken strips inside and an overwhelming waste of french fries on the plate. The servers were friendly and attentive, the food came out quick and the decor is very cozy.

So my wife grew up in Michigan and every time we visit she has to have a Detroit style coney dog. She swears Pete's has the best coneys around so we eat here several times each time we visit. Well after trying several different places over the last few trips I must agree Pete's has the best coneys! Their dogs have some snap and the chili sauce is good. Plus they have allot of different options on the menu. I have had a burger as well as omelettes, and they were good as well. The service is always fast and the prices are great so definitely recommend!
