I'd like to give this establishment more than three stars because I really enjoy the ambiance and the varied menu. I'd rate the location and environment 4.5 stars but the service is quite spotty while the food is decent-good. (2-3 star). The waitstaff are invariably Oakland University students without much experience. On a recent visit our waiter did the best he could but was overwhelmed with our table of eight. He charged me $8 for a Caesar salad that should have been included with my dinner entree. A beer my friend ordered on his tab ended up in my bill. Nothing to get excited or upset about just indicative of inexperienced waitstaff. Their better dinner option include the fish & chips and their best appetizer are their crab cakes. I'm not giving up on Patti Finnegan's just keeps you hoping for a more complete dining experience you could recommend.

First off, I was bummed to find out that the menu online is very old, which also means the prices are not correct, as well. I had planned ahead of time to order the chicken stir fry, only to find out they don't have it. That being said, we made reservations for 5 on Saturday night @ 6:00, we were seated right away. We ordered the brussels sprouts & pub chips appetizers. Although both were tasty, I found that the pub chips were too salty for me. My husband ordered the shepherd's pie and though it was very good, it was quite expensive for the serving size. I ordered the chicken wrap (can't remember exact name, it had honey mustard on it), it was very good! That came with pub chips, which again I found salty. FYI - Others that ate the chips didn't find them as salty as I did though. Our highlight of the night.....our waiter, Mike, aka Edgar, was great!! Friendly, very entertaining/funny, and was very attentive to our needs. Although the food is a little on the expensive side, I would go back again. Highly recommend!

Lovely little place with a great view of Meadowbrook golf course. Came for a few drinks and just an appetizer. My Old Fashioned was perfect. Easy drink to make, but not always done correctly! The Cosmo was icy and just right. The menu looks great...but we only had the calamari. It was plated with two great sauces...looked great and tasted wonderful. Would like to come back for a meal. We sat outside on the patio. It was hot, being summer, but there's a nice breeze and some ceiling fans.

First time taking Family to Finnegan's. First thing I'm a golfer what a view. The server was "Reem B. one of the best waitresses we've had?? The 2-kids ate chicken fingers & cheeseburger both with fries. My wife had quinoa salad, delicious, daughter had Roasted Brussels, "Gluten free" boys had Cuban & Club sandwiches. Reem Also brought basket of roll.My tip is pay for performance

As a golf course bar, this place is pretty nice and the service is fine. I'd probably find another place for dinner though, not bad but not great food - the dinner price was too high for the quality of the dinner.

Just finished the Santa Brunch at Meadowbrook. I would definitely say save your money and don't go!I thought the breakfast was at Finnegan's since that is where you call to make a reservation, but the breakfast is in a large room not decorated for Christmas and very sterile looking. For $40/ person you get store bought cookies, carved ham and carved turkey, sausage links, bacon and scrambled eggs. You have to get your own water and refill it! The food is a step above the free breakfast you get at a hotel. So disappointing.

Went here last night for St. Patrick's day dinner. Casey the general manager and our waitress Ava were amazing! Very attentive and the best service I've ever experienced! The shepherds pie was amazing! The best I've ever had and the Apple Martini was so delicious and nice looking! Wish I would have took pictures of the food too. And the view of the restaurant overlooking the golf course is breathtaking! Will definitely be back again soon!
