A friend told me to stop here while wandering the suburbs of Detroit aimlessly. Massive beer selection, and I ended up leaving with a store picked bottle of bourbon I wasn't looking for. Lol.Staff are friendly, and helpful if you have questions. Definite stop for me in the future when I'm in town.

Boasting southeast Michigan's largest selection of bad wine for many years now, Parkway Beverage does a bit better with spirits. But be careful with their hidden fees and hostile management. When I asked if they took Amex, I was told yes at first, then that I "must pay extra for that." Long story short: Parkway passes their credit card fees (and then some) onto the customer -- 3.99% for both Amex and Visa, according to a guy I assumed was the owner. And there's no signage about it. I asked how to avoid the fees and he said cash. He was oddly hostile about it, so I mentioned that credit card fees are a cost of doing business. I then got a nasty lecture on not telling him how to run his store. Hey, I just wanted some bourbon. While I try to support small businesses, Parkway Beverage gave me an excellent reason to shop Meijers instead.

Had to stop in here with my rider to help her with getting her items. Massive selection of alcohol. Didn't get too much of a chance to really look around then other where I was at standing at the counter. Service a bit slow but overall nice.

It's a beautiful shop, but the staff absolutely suck and the markup on allocated beers is insane. The guys there have this smug aura of excellence about them that make you feel inferior when you ask them questions or to see if they have something specific in stock. It's like they make it their priority to make you feel bad if you are a day late to the party. Case in point, I went there shortly after Goose Island Bourbon County was released to see if they had any in stock and if not if they had plans on getting more in. They didn't and instead of just telling me they were out, the guy made it a point to try and make me feel bad for not coming earlier in the week and if I were special enough to be a "regular" they might have just held some behind the counter for me. I don't need your sass dude, a simple no would have done just fine. Then I come to find out a month later they had half a case they were holding on to for someone who was a "regular" that took weeks to come get it instead of selling it to people who had cash in hand and were willing to pay their overly gouged prices.

I love this place. If I take someone with me, I tell them before we walk in that this is "my heaven" and if they know me they understand. TONS of wines. Lots of cool stuff you can't find other places in the area. The people who work here are very helpful - they know their products. Meades and lots of local wines. I'm not a beer fanatic but they have a ton of it so if you like it they probably have that too. They have a larger liquor selection that other stores and sell the "accompaniments" needed for a bartender evening. (blue cheese stuffed olives, etc). If I were to move, this would probably be the place in my area I would most miss.

A MUST for anyone interested in craft beer. They carry TONS of local craft beer, every Michigan brewer that distributes and I can't think of a national craft beer brand that they don't have (at least of the ones that do distribute to Michigan).I've been hard pressed to locate Rochester Mills IPA, Red and Milkshake Stout cans... they have them. There's an ample supply of seasonals from Bells, limited edition cans from Brewery Vivant, a 12 pack from Motor City Brewing works, every style that is canned and shipped from KBC and a HUGE selection of single bombers (22 oz bottles) from brewers across the world. You WILL find the craft beer that you're looking for... unless it's super, super, super rare/limited, in which case, the bigger beer nerd has probably already bought them out.Prices are average for craft beer in the area, so no complaints there.I've been here quite a few times over the past few years, and unlike other "specialty" beer stores, I've not noticed dusty bottles or super moist cardboard packaging (signs that it's been on the shelf or in the cooler for much too long). They either properly rotate their stock, clean up very well or have fantastic merchandisers. This is a huge plus; fresh beer for everyone!I'm not a fan of wine of spirits, but they have tons of those too... The shelves are literally from floor to ceiling. They also have a humidor, but like wine and spirits, I couldn't tell you if it's any good, just huge.I've never left disappointed; I always find the beer I'm looking for here!

Parkway is stocked from floor to ceiling!!! Excellent wine & liquor selections!I wanted my favorite wine for the evening (Gnarly Head, Old Vine Zin) and they had it...and many many many more things. This place is literally stocked from floor to ceiling with anything you could possible imagine! Rows and rows of wine and craft beers, and the liquor wall behind the counter has it all! The prices were comparable to other places as well. They are right on the corner of Metro Pkwy and Gratiot! Huge store, you can't miss it! Have fun!

We are from Indiana and this store has Bourbon in it that I can't even find any in Kentucky! The place has so much alcohol I don't see how it's possible for the people there to keep track...but they do! Nice people, nice place! Great selection! I most certainly will return.

Quite unfortunate I wont be coming here anymore. I bought a bottle for $39.99 and it rang up at 42.36. I asked to do apply pay, and I was then charged 47.36. I wasnt even notified of this extra $5 charge and only noticed after I paid. I live around the corner, but will now drive the extra couple seconds to the other store across the street. Oh well
