Park Place Market

They have a great selection of beer and liquor. Sometimes there are sales reps in with samples and that is always fund. The store is extremely convenient and a great excuse for a walk to "get your steps in." However, the prices are higher than other area merchants. Also, they do not accept can and bottle returns. The guy at the counter said that they used to but their machine broke. Sorry but It. Is. The. Law. If they treat that law as optional, what else? And I know that they collect deposits so...

Wow. I moved to Detroit in April and was still looking for something akin to Spec's or Total Wine like they have in Texas. How does a small neighborhood grocery manage to have an incredible liquor, liqueur, wine, beer, cider, gifts and accurements, grocery, frozen section, produce, and a deli counter?It is a marvel. It is like a "urban Spec's I guess because they have all the things, just in a smaller footprint. And this might be they have almost every variety of liqueur except pear, or several top gins, but not Citadelle. So, I'm still on the lookout for the store with pear liqueur but can get mostly everything I need here, including wine from my favorite winery in France. Highly recommend.

So Park Place Market on Charlevoix is now charging cutomers a 50 cent user fee if we do not spend $10.00 on a debit or credit card. This is not the way to get higher tickets. Their food in the deli is overpriced and old. The kitchen serves rudimentary sandwiches and fries for ten bucks or more. The "market" is just not worth it. We go there for beer & liquor.Booze is at least a dollar more than at other close stores. Seems they charge the highest the state allows? Listen, we've liked this store & these people for many years. $10.00 purchase or we get gigged a phantom 50 cents? Let the rich folks from GP Shores keep him in business then. We work for a living.Time to tell them to cool it on prices and fees. Mike at Fairfax just failed. So can this store. Maybe they expanded too much too soon like many busssinesses do. Right now? They don't SERVE the community. They take advantage of the community. FEE UNLESS WE SPEND TEN BUCKS? Please.

Funny. As in, huh - curious. We patronized these guys steadily for years. I updated my review to 1 star two years ago after Sonny charged my wife $100 for a "special" bottle of birthday bourbon even after he asked her if she was my wife, so he knew it was for a regular customer. Told her he had "just the thing" & sold her a bottle of $26 Weller Special Reserve. I say "funny" because somehow that updated review recently disappeared. Huh. Funny.

they have some good stuff but MAAANNNN is it expensive. Also don't waste your time with the pizza here - it's just gonna disappoint you !

Place is a rip-off .. over priced wine and liquor .. no state minimum here.. buyer beware .. ohh la la

Terrific liquor, wine, beer selection. Sonny introduced us to their signature liquors - really well done. Will be coming back often :-)

Great assortment of alcohol, fun wandering ready to eat foods and shelf offerings. Pizza by the slice available for purchase while wandering. Friendly service. Easy parking.

Fantastic alcohol selection, great food from the lunch counter as well. The place is always clean and the staff are always very friendly at the counter.

amazing pizza and service. this is by far the best spot for pizza in grosse point park. not to mention the Humidor room and liquor selection is GRADE "A"
