I had no idea this place was here until I heard through a friend about a restaurant in the area serving Filipino food. They are typically a breakfast place, but apparently they host a Filipino Food night once in a while and it has been a regular occurrence at Old House Family Restaurant. I wish I had known earlier because I missed many previous nights of what appears to be great tasting Filipino food judging from our first experience. We wanted to try everything Filipino on the menu since there was a good selection of different dishes that evening. Sinigang soup was the best as were the lumpia (Filipino style egg rolls), kare-kare, and lechon paksiw, all very authentic and delicious at the same time. Dessert was included with our meal and we were given a small taste of all three desserts offered that night, all of which really enjoyed and would buy trays of for parties - ube ensaymada, suman (sweet sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf) and ube cake. The owner who also does most of the cooking still found time to come around and talk to her guests. She was so friendly and humble, you can tell she loves cooking for her customers and making sure everyone has a great dining experience. She explained she plans on having Filipino food night 1x/month, first Friday of each month. She has lots of ideas on what and how she plans to serve and introduce Filipino food to the community. Can't wait to come back for the next one! The breakfast must be just as good given her commitment and love of her customers. I will be trying out the breakfast here soon also.

Absolutely LOVED coming here for dinner. I lived by here for years and never knew it existed until my friend invited me out for a Filipino dinner night. The new owner started hosting a Filipino Dinner night once a month and I knew I had to come try some good food. Being a Filipina myself, I tried the Kare Kare dish with oxtail and it reminded me so much of my Mom and Grandma. It was on point! The place got packed around 6:00 PM, which is a great sign. Lots of different orders going on, definitely a family friendly place and great prices. I ordered some food to go for my husband and he enjoyed it also! We will definitely be back!

I stopped in this morning for the first time and it was exactly what I was expecting. I had an omelette with toast and a coffee. The omelette was cooked perfectly and the coffee was good. Excellent service.

I only stop here three times a week, it's close to home. Mega-tron wears ugly shoes and has a foul mouth. Cindy hates the local sports teams. The positive is the Wi-Fi! The owner "HotRod" is always around whipping the staff in to shape. $2.50 for the 12 cups of coffee I usually drink, with the name brand creamer ?!?!? C'mon! I can go to Tim Hortons and pay that for one cup. Whatever you do, do not get the porky pigomelette! Because it's limited and I want it. It's seems like every time I'm here I run into somebody I know, like I need to see people I know on the outside. I usually tip on the heavy side because if not the waitress's will jump you when you get out by your car. Food is solid.

Average used to be great. Seems like they're going a little cheaper on ingredients.... When you order T.O and it smells like bad grease in the car is a sign that they're using bad ingredients and oils.

Unfortunately the food I ordered was not good. I ordered the Corned beef Rueben. The meat was dark brown and was shredded into little strings. It actually looked like it was old and dried up. All parts of the sandwich had zero flavor not even the sauerkraut. The service was decent and what you would expect from a little diner same with the dining area. I will not be a returning customer.
