A great local bar that dresses for the season! Great people simple drinks. I give kudos to Rick for making me a daiquiri with their supples. It worked but do not recommend. Great for beer and friendship!

If you're looking for a bar that makes you feel like an absolute outsider, this is it! If you're curious how Harry Potter felt for the first 11 years of his life while living an unwanted life in the Dursley household, this is the place you've been looking for!!!! You will walk in the bar & the bartender likely will not look at you or greet you for 10 minutes (minimum) despite the fact that there MAY be a grand total of seven people in the entire place. This is not the first time I have gone in here trying to love this bar (because the setup IS pretty cool) & been absolutely iced out by the cold shoulder of the bartender. Mind you, this was at 10 pm & 8 pm on two occasions 100% sober. I can understand bartenders getting testy at bar close but really? The dinner hour has hardly passed & you're already sporting a scowl?

I was worried we might be walking into a "bougie" bar. Well, I knew I was going to like this place when the bartender was wearing a Wutang shirt and throw back hip hop was playing. What we found was a neighborhood pub with a welcoming vibe. Drinks are reasonably priced, good beer selection, and great crowd. Definitely a place to stop in!

New owner...Okay, still your typical local bar except it's clean, warm, and inviting... The new owner has made substantial improvements that have made a world of difference. Seems like the place is always decorated with closest holiday theme. And really, the owner is a good guy.I would recommend going in during Happy Hour for a few drinks before you have dinner at one of the many local restaurants. Prices at Happy Hour are quite good.

Great place for a beer & a chat! Delightful bartender, Carly, makes everyone feel at home. No food, other than chips & microwave popcorn, but "cheap" prices for beer & simple cocktails.Pool table, Keno, darts. Small & intimate with diverse clientele crossing all age groups - you will not leave without making new friends & feeling like a local.

Great local bar. The owner Russ is a wonderful dude. Honestly one of the most active, present, friendly bar owners in the industry. The staff is wonderful too, really do a good job making it everyone's local bar. If you live in Grosse Pointe or Detroit near the border this NEEDS to be your local. It is slowly becoming a Grosse Pointe Institution, and I could not be happier for the mgmt. and staff.

this bar used to be a dive, now it is a clean, friendly, bar with great people. $1.50 coors lights in a frosty mug, fusball, pool, and a pinball machine. The owner has upgraded the bar with more TV's for games and has really done some nice work as far as upgrades, including a super nice new floor.

The staff in this bar has always been good the handful of times I've been in here. No food, but they let you bring in food of your own....kind of different. Heck, the bartender even pulled out a bunch of local restaurant takeout menus for the group that was in there the last time. I am not certain but I think she even ordered it for them!Good house shot that they call "Orange Whip". Basically a neighborhood place, I wouldn't plan on a lot of people striking up a convo with you unless you're alone, maybe? The patrons seems kind of cliquey so I guess if you didn't go to a Grosse Pointe high school or grow up in the area, you might not meet anyone new to talk to unless you can break in to the thick huddle somehow. Not generally my scene but the service is good and there are beer specials.
