My favorite food truck in the Detroit area. The menu is simple but the execution is terrific. Everything on the menu has a little twist the improves on some classic favorites. I had the grilled cheese and as always, the thickly sliced bread was well toasted and the cheeses were as gooey as ever. The slightly sweet chutney sets it off perfectly. My wife had the chick pea sliders. The sliders were great and they were covered with some amazing spices and toppings. And, of course we loved the spicy potato chips and pickle. You can find this truck at the Eastern Market and around Birmingham regularly. If you see them stop in for great food.

At Level dispensary in Center line this Friday until 7pm and at Eastern market this Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM. Had to check their location on their Facebook link, since their location on the yelp app doesn't seem to be updated.Ordered the Rueben, nu egg, nu cheese and two berry lassi style smoothies. The food takes a bit to come out. They called out our names when our order was up. The Nu cheese was so ooey and gooey. Has a bit of sweetness to it too. It's so good. The Rueben was also tasty. Flavorful and meat packed too. The Nu egg wasn't bad. Had thought it would have more flavor. Had some fresh herbs and some curries.

Lovin' it! This food truck does an Indian take on American food: hot dogs, grilled cheese, Reubens. They were stationed at Eastern Market and I couldn't help but wonder what they were selling. The truck is brightly colored and obviously their name is a pun. Nu Deli....New Delhi. Ha! There was a line when I got here but only 3 people in front of me. There seemed to be a cluster of people over here the whole time though. Must be popular!I ordered the Nu Reuben. It's corned beef with mayo, Indian slaw, Swiss, and tandoori seasoning on the bread. Wow! It was yummy and had a nice sweetness. Very unique! It was $12, but I've always paid that amount for a Reuben, so I'm used to it.The Reuben was the most expensive item on the menu, so if you want something less than $10, you've got some good options. They serve Mango Lassi, which I should've tried. Perhaps next time.A selling point is that you can make the dishes gluten free or vegan. Awesome! My sandwich came with some chips that had some type of seasoning on it. Wow. So good! It was filling and I couldn't really finish it.Service was great! They were super nice at the counter and call out your name when the dish is already hot off the grill. I'll have to come again!

This is one of those food trucks you just love to see. The Indian spices they infuse into American sandwiches is kind of how I like my deli sandwiches now, I'm ruined. Everything I've had from them whether it was at the Wayne State farmers market, MoPop, or next to Rust Belt has been delicious. I'm a big fan of the mango lassi, Reuben, and the spiced chips. Yum!We just happened upon them next to Rust Belt one night and it was a happy surprise. We were trying to be cautious and find some take out we could eat outside. This fit the bill perfectly. While the menu was more limited than normal, probably COVID related, they still had the standard Reuben, chips, and pop to make it a complete meal. We grabbed our food and sat at a table across the street in one of the passageways behind 9mile. It was the perfect night out. Only complaint was the limited menu and longer than normal wait time since there was only one person in the truck. But there was a cute puppy to play with so that helped pass the time.

Yum! We ordered catering for work, and all of the sandwiches were a hit - we tried them all. I love the slightly spicy/sweet twist on deli classics. The fresh berries salad was also perfect - lovely spring mix and fresh berries - it went very quickly. We also had the house spiced chips and pickles - and I could probably leave those out next time. Both are very salty to me, though the flavor of both is good. I will definitely order more of the chocolate chip cookie bars next time - those went fast as well! It was very easy to order, pay, and receive an invoice electronically, and everything was hot and on time. Looking forward to ordering again.

Some co-workers and I decided to hit up Campus Martius for lunch one beautiful summer day, you know when they have a ton of food trucks everywhere for you to choose from. I went with the Nu Deli food truck, that serves deli sandwiches with an Indian inspired twist. I'm a big fan of spices but I'm still not that familiar with Indian cuisine so this was a fun/new experience for me.I ended up getting the, "Nu Grilled Cheese," that has four different cheeses, mango chutney and stone-ground mustard on Italian Bread... and you guys... this sandwich was so bomb!!!! I kept loving each bite more and more until it was sadly all gone. Even the chips were bomb! They were just a wavy regular chip but they added a spice to them that just took them to a whole 'nother level. There was also a pickle, respectively. They aren't great with keeping track of who ordered what and who came before who, and I ended up waiting almost 30 mins for my order, but it was worth it!

The Nu Deli is a brightly decorated orange food truck that serves "classic deli sandwiches with an Indian twist".I came across Nu Deli during Berkley's art fair. Like all smart food trucks, the menu is fairly short. Better to concentrate and do a few things well. All of the sandwiches are classics that are familiar but have been fused with Indian spices and preparation. The bread is toasted with masala spices, hotdogs are topped with tomato chutney, sandwiches have chili mayo, or chutney, or Indian slaw. Sandwiches include: Reuben, kosher hot dog, egg salad, tuna, grilled cheese, veg tikka and cream cheese and lox bagel. They offer "mom's cheese (cup) cake" of the day for dessert. Drinks included lassi style smoothie of seasonal fruit mixed and blended with yogurt. After much deliberation, I ordered the egg salad and lassi smoothie. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear and kettle chips (with a dash of spices). The egg salad has curry leaf and green chili on toasted masala challah bread. Egg salad will never be the same. This was a seriously good, flavorful sandwich. It had a nice kick but was a mild spice. If you have any fear of spice, just check with them about the spice level. The smoothie was also delicious. It was mixed berries combined smoothly with cool yogurt. You do have the option to have the sandwich without the Indian twist. They say that they will not judge you, but you will be missing out. This is a food truck to search out!

The corned beef Reuben might be the best sandwich I've ever had. The chips were very good as well.
