I personally think the coffee has good flavor. I get the dark roast drip, black. The baristas are all pretty friendly. The pastries are very good. I don't know if they are made in-house, made locally, or mass produced. They taste local or in-house. The Monstrr and Breakfast Bagel sandwiches very good. This place is my go-to each year when I come to the area for work.

Amazing coffee! One of the best I've had! The barista did amazing! Ambiance is pretty good, no "comfy" seating, pretty small dining room. But loud indie tunes which is a plus! Lots of outlets for studying and new outdoor seating with umbrellas.

I've been going here the last few mornings and am greeted with smiles every time I come in. It is a perfect place to study and I am a big fan of their chai and bagel sandwiches.

Great space with plenty of tables and counter space to do a little work plus a cute looking outdoor area. There are a handful of parking spaces in the immediate area. My iced oatmilk latte was very good and the breakfast bagel sandwich was basic but tasty. There are also sweet pastries, but I appreciate having the savory options available when I don't want anything sweet. Everybody working was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again.

I've been coming here since it was the Ugly Mug in 2005, back when the baristas would go to barista competitions and actually win. The recent change to Northern Grind has completely ruined this place. They've gone from high quality artisan coffee to low-quality corporate coffee. The coffee served is now extraordinarily weak and lacks any flavor. Most people will never notice, because most people who come here order lattes, and latte drinkers don't actually like coffee, they like sugar. And as the final blow, they no longer sell bagged beans, which, considering the low quality of what they use now, is probably a good thing. Sadly, after almost 20 years I think it's time to switch to Hyperion, because it's not worth it if they're just going to serve brown water.
