Nikola's Restaurant

Nikola's keeps it going on every night in the dining room and carryout! Thank you Debbie for your service! Thank you for assisting my father with stationing his walker out of the way until we were ready to go. Handicap accessibility is important to us. The ample parking was great and we were able to park right near the carryout area where there was a small ramp to assist my dad with coming in from the parking lot.This was a wonderful dining experience for my family which consisted of five adults and one child. It was a great way to decompress after the presidential election that was conducted the day before with four generations around the table. Ages 1 to 83.All the dinners came with your choice of one hot side and one cold side plus garlic bread. Although I did not take photos, we have several tossed salads and coleslaws before our dinner and hot sides arrived. We had a ton of food on our table and our plates. We had ribs, shrimp, fried chicken, catfish, cod and chicken strips. For our hot sides, we had fries, broasted potatoes and sweet potatoes. We also ordered several cornbread sides. The portions were huge and the oval plates seemed to be not large enough to accommodate the food. We didn't mind because we all had takeout boxes for tomorrow. The kid's meal was large as well. They have many drink options which even includes smoothies.They have a large selection of desserts available. We were so full we took a few to go! We had carrot cake, German chocolate cake and NY Cheesecake. We hope to come back again on a Thursday night when they have live jazz.

Nikolas has had my family's business since I was a little girl. The food is really good here as I usually order the ribs. Now I will say their sides are lacking. They also started charging extra for salad recently when you use to be able to pick it as a cold side. But over all I don't think their prices have raised too much over the years. I usually get the 5 bone special which usually has more than 5 bones. The boasted potatoes are where it is at. They unfortunately changed their fries from regular fries to seasoned fries and I'm not a fan of them. The French toasted bread is the reason I keep coming back. If you like chicken, their bbq chicken wings are really good too. Waitstaff has always been very good being there. I have never had a problem with them. The restaurant could use a little updating in the bathrooms, but over all it's a decent place.

Don't sleep on this place! It's no Mission BBQ but it's a humble neighborhood Mom n Pop with good BBQ. The service is great and the portions are huge. The ribs aren't fall off the bone tender but they're not tough either. The BBQ chicken and broasted chicken are tasty as well. Overall I'd say this place is just plain good!

Nikola's was one of my grandmother's favorite restaurants many years ago, but I haven't been here in at least 20 years. But tonight, I wanted to go to somewhere that I don't usually go, so I picked Nikola's. (My sister said it was my turn to choose since she chose last time.) I was very pleasantly surprised!We both ordered the Lumberjack chicken -- 3 good sized boneless, skinless chicken breasts baked with barbecue sauce, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and topped with scallions. With entrees, you get a choice of one hot side dish, one cold side dish & a piece of garlic bread. We both got the rice pilaf and cole slaw. The portion sizes on everything were very large, and everything was good. I particularly liked the BOWL of rice pilaf. We both took home about half of our meals, and we had so much left over that it looked like we'd ordered carry out! Prices were very reasonable as well. The only thing that was subpar was the iced tea, as it didn't taste freshly brewed, but it wasn't horrible. We also noticed that, as the sun started to set, the lights came on in the restaurant, and it looked quite warm and attractive.I will definitely be back -- especially when I want to try ribs or broasted chicken.

Just a quick review. Been coming here for years when we want to throw diet to the wind. Suffice to say if you want broasted chicken, potatoes and garlic bread, this is where you want to go in the metro area. Chicken is the bomb. Service always friendly and spot on.

Nikola's is a good place to dine in, and it's a great place to carry out. Dining in, the service is friendly, the dining room is warm and inviting, and the portions are generous. Carrying out, the food is fresh and hot and the portions are generous. Carrying out or dining in, the food is delicious. They make their own BBQ sauce, which they also sell by the bottle. I highly recommend the broasted chicken dinner for two, which is enough for two VERY hungry big eaters, or three to four normally hungry people. The ribs are also delicious, again go with the combo - the bread is yummy and so are the sides. And if you want dessert, anything Nikola's offers is worthwhile.

I don't know why you changed the recipe for your collard greens. There was an added type of unidentified meat and onions? I had to throw it away. Please go back to what they always were before.

The food is always sensational!! Very tasty, delectable. Very good.The service is great.

My son and I have eaten here multiple times. Service is good and the atmosphere cozy and relaxing. We've ordered the ribs and bbq chicken each time. Vey good and the portion sizes are good. Great value. Highly recommend.

Ordered a fish and shrimp dinner. There was HAIR in my food. How disgusting!!! Too far to drive back to replace it. Everyone who deals with the food in this restaurant should be required to wear a hair net no matter the length. This place is a huge NO for me!
