Nicky D's Coney Island

My friend was visiting from Mexico. He's 23. Gave the waitress his id. In English it said "Date of birth" along with his bday. She said the ID has to be all in English or we all get kicked out. I've never had this issue at all. This place smells like low income racism. 0/10

This Nicky D's is my go as far as Coney Islands go but tonight, that was not the case. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the chicken was burnt and as you can imagine, dryer than sand paper.I called to let them know and the gentleman asked if I could bring it back so they could fix it up. I told him unfortunately I couldn't because I live in Rochester and was not going back out tonight. He asked I could bring it back another day and I just laughed and told him I'd take a picture of it and bring it the next time I came there which is likely never again .

Note: (I'm posting a review on a one time experience -not that it's always like this, but this was very disconcerting)Sunday afternoon about noon, walked in got a table , one waitress on for the whole restaurant. Clearly there would be problems. Two other groups came in , both sat down. Both got served at least their water before we got anything at all ...waitress proceeded to take other orders and she had to do what she had to do to keep up, but it was just too much for one person , this place needs more help and they certainly should not be seating tables if people can't get served, the food is generally very good here, but we wouldn't have known this visit.‍

Order came out incorrectly made. Hot dog bun was stale. Cheese on fries was watered down and nasty. Don't know what happened they use to be good.

What an amazing decor. I feelLike I am at an old school diner. Great menu selection. Was told I had to try the Chicken Greek Salad. They make their own dressing: the creamy,thick pink kind. YUMMY!!! Honestly I think they give you a pound of chicken on this easily shareable delish salad. A must have now and again and again... LOL My chicken was cooked to perfection and just absolutely delicious. I'm giving four for a full score in three stars for food, because my partner ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken came so over cooked. You could hardly cut it or chew it. And it really didn't taste like it was seasoned as nicely as what I had on my salad. It could've been because it was so overclocked? Staff was amazing. Restaurant proper, super clean. A definite must try!

Not surprised by the rating of this place. The people that work here were very rude when I came in today. I was visiting the area on vacation, and not happy with how the experience went. The food was ok at best, and the vibe was a bit off. Not very happy with how things went today here

Had the chicken roll up sandwich and onion rings and it was awesome. The portions were very generous and probably stretched for lunch tomorrow but I couldn't stop. Will be added to the regulars list.

Food is good girl with the highlights and the very tight pants is very rude. Please be careful.

Food use to be on point for years, then fell off. Everything started becoming hard and stale, still giving them another shot. Lettuce has been brown the past few times we ordered. The chicken finger pita had old and new tenders mixed in. They started to skimp on food, way less on portion size than before. They Always forget customers sauces. Gyro should automatically get a Taziki sauce on the side. Not to mention our orders are above 50 each time, giving them business at least twice a week. What a waste of money.

Because the staff they hired over the past two months are terrible. I waited for an order for 25 minutes that I gave them the name 5 different times, and the order was there the whole time. Completely incompetent. Especially the tall dork with glasses
