Nicky D's Coney Island

Late flights into Detroit on a Friday and Saturday night means this is the go to right before I get to the house. These are the places that you miss when you move out of town because there is no place like this in Jax. My go to is always 2 coneys with a side of chili cheese fries...... or the all meat omelet with hash browns covered in chili cheese. Hits the spot EVERY TIME!

Craving satisfied. Whenever I visit I have to get my coney fix. I tell you what I was hummming while eating. Everything I remembered.

I have lived in this neighborhood for at least 30 years and the service at the drive thru tonight was deplorable to say the least! When I got to the window the young lady informed me that she only put in for 1 order when I asked for 2! She then just stood there and looked at me without offering a resolve. The rudeness of it all when I did not choose your profession. She then said you can't make orders at the window you have to come in! For something you made a mistake on? That's ok! May the good Lord bless you!

The service here is terrible. They got my entire order wrong & when I called to tell them about it they acted like I was bothering them...

My spot Quick in & out food always good for me Especially when you always go there no real issues and if it is it's always fixed never argued with nobody over a order so good job.

Admittedly Coney Island food isn't the most healthiest choice, but if you choose the right location, you can enjoy satisfying, comforting fast food all hours of the day and night.This Nicky D's is my go-to location. It's conveniently located on my travels home from drinking and smoking cigars. (LOL!)Everyone in Detroit likely knows what "Coney Island's" are, but I'm thinking that most people feel as though most of them are dives. This place is not that.I felt led to post a review after my visit last night.I went through the drive through and ordered a corned beef sandwich and an order of fries, the cashier suggested a "deluxe" (which is a combo with fries and a drink). I appreciated that as I wasn't really thinking about a drink while ordering, but the deluxe offers the best value...and I was thirsty.The sandwich was just as good as one you'd find at a deli. The meat was fresh flavorful and tender with swiss cheese and cole slaw on an onion roll. You can also order this sandwich on rye bread.Nicky D's also offers Ruebens, which are my jam, but I wasn't in the mood for sauerkraut.I was led to write review because the service here is great.The ladies who serve as cashiers are always friendly. Their cheerfulness really stands out because at most fast food restaurants these days, you hardly get great friendly service. This restaurant is doing a great job at making sure customers are treated well and receive quality fast food at a great price point.

This Coney Island is horrible, unprofessional, dirty and no customer service for customers nor there staff. I came inside to order my food which took 20 minutes in a stand up line because they had only one female taking drive thru, inside orders and pushing out order. There was 4 men in the kitchen talking and looking at her doing all these multitasking. The customer were getting upset because there orders were not correct and cold. The inside tables were dirty with pop spills and food crumbs on the tables and floors. Floor was wet due to the snow falling outside made it easy for someone to fall. I was told about this place but I think I will go somewhere else. To have a female do all this work while 4 grown men watch unacceptable at its most.

The service is horrible, not friendly at all, I'm not sure if it's the intake person or the cooks that can't get the orders right. There hasn't been one time that they have gotten our order right, It's always messed up; So I tried dumbing down what's on burger and what I mean about that is, instead of getting a deluxe cheeseburger. I just get it with cheese only because they don't know how to not put onions and pickles on the burger. They can't even make the fries a little extra crispy. It's a shame that they can never get our order right, we will not be going back there again. Just lost my business, and we go a lot at least 3-4days a week.

Ordered a chicken and cheese omelette with pancakes on the side. I shouldn't be called an omelette because it's literally as the name implies. Was it too much to add onions? And then it was nasty ash american cheese ‍ I ate it cause I need substance. The pancakes were soul and completely disgusting. I let my friend try it just to be sure I wasn't tripping. Even the syrup tasted old. It's a no for me.

I just ordered food from Nicki d coney on evergreen and 8 mile and I looked in my container this was under my eggs when I when I go eat them I seen something blue and pulled the metal tab out. Fucking disgusting!
