Nick's Country Oven Family Restaurant

Located on the south side of 14 mile between Coolidge and Main Street in Clawson, there is plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. They have both booths and tables. It was a busy Saturday at Noon when we arrived. We were seated and serviced right away. The food is delicious and plentiful, combine that with low prices for what you receive and it's a no-brainer to come here as often as you can. Mom and I can no longer eat as much as we used to so we split a BBQ rib dinner - OMG it was delicious. Their home-made BBQ sauce was perfection, the meat fell off the bone and there was plenty of meat on the bone. Mom had Beef barley soup; I tried it and it was the best I have ever tasted. The servers were kind, professional and efficient. We live 40 minutes away but will definitely return.

Let me first start by saying I've never wrote a review before, but this woman by the name of Laura definitely deserves the credit! I ordered a pretty big breakfast carryout order and customized a few things (sauces on side, crispy bacon, no butter on toast, etc). Not only was the whole order correct, but she went out of her way to label each item and nicely placed it all in a cardboard box for me to carry.The service was definitely excellent and food taste great. Highly recommend this place!

The service was a bit slow and the food was average. When the server came around they were vaguely friendly. Since I am new to the area, I may try a few more places around town before coming here again. It wasn't a bad experience, but nothing great to make me want to rush back.

Absolutely the most delicious place I come for almond chicken! My mom and I have been a fan of almond chicken since we had it over on John r and 11 mile. Unfortunately they closed down so ever since we've been on hunt. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the breading was super crispy everything was absolutely. I came with my mom and grandma and we all three got this. The servers were super nice and the place was clean. Will definitely be back.

This place is a clean very well run family restaurant geared toward a great breakfast and lunch crowd for sure. They don't have delivery so the kitchen gets to concentrate on everyone in the dining room. So expect fast delicious food. The salads are large, and their breakfast makes you want to come back and have seconds.

The last two times I came here, the food was good, but the service has been awful. One of the things that I hate is when they bring you the bill with your food. When I was here yesterday, that is what happened, and the waitress never came back to check on me. I had to ask someone else to bring me a refill on my water.

So after first trial of restaurant was not impressed with a traditional Greek dish tried. Service was great both times with very clean interior and bathroom.Per recommendation of coworker, This time I tried breakfast ordering spinach and feta omelette which was very good.In short, breakfast is very good and lunch ordering there sandwiches (hamburgers, patty melts, etc) are worthwhile.

Nick's is amazing! The best atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and the most importantly, delicious food! Trying new things on the menu each time and never been disappointed! This was my first time trying crepes for dessert and i was impressed! Condensed milk with Nutella and fresh fruits, and the crepe itself- everything was just perfect Will be coming back for sure!

A solid place for breakfast, we come here about once a month. It's your classic diner style with booths around the perimeter and tables in the middle. The waitresses call you hon' and chat with you. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Nothing gourmet, just solid eggs any style you want them, pancakes, hash browns and the like. I've recently discovered their homemade corned beef hash, my new favorite. Not like the overly salted canned stuff, this has large chunks of corned beef, crispy fried hashbrowns and onions. What's not to like? Coffee is good and always being refilled, creamer is the little containers, but at least it's cream and not 'non-dairy creamer'. Can't speak about lunch or dinner, but if you want a solid, not fancy breakfast, you can't go wrong with Nick's.

One of the many Friday specials... Polish combo! Sauerkraut, kielbasa, perogies, stuffed cabbage, and potato pancakes! I chose lemon rice soup- from several soups. Or I could have had salad. It was all delicious and plenty left to take home! I also get to choose jello or rice pudding for desert! That's a lot of goodness for $17!I love this place! Such good food and wonderful service!
