Well if aged character is what you seek this is your spot. The Smoked Corn Beef Reuben sure as hell is no match for the Star Deli or even Zingerman's. Close to dried chewy jerky with lots of kraut and a weak French dressing dipping sauce. The up charged Onion Rings (a total of 3 greasy slices) were mostly over breaded crispy globs of their version of onions. The servers were sparse and rushed, as is the case in most eateries now days. As far as ambiance I've provided a glimpse in my opener. Lots of locals swapping stories at the long narrow bar, coupled with uneven cobbled floors and tables. Name the sport and its on any of a dozen TVs spread throughout the joint. Must admit that spring thur fall the Harley's parked out front are impressive

This place is huge for how it looks from the outside. The holiday decor was festive and fun to match the overall vibe. I liked what seemed to be endless bar seating. The large rectangle high tops are nice for bigger groups.The menu had plenty of great choices to suit any mood. The burger looked fantastic, the chicken quesadilla was good and the white trash nachos were off the charts! The service was attentive, polite and prompt. Seems to be a cool place to chill.

Hell yes, the food is great, beer is cold, this is the oldest bar in Michigan they say. If I want to impress someone with a burger and beer spot they never fail to impress it's good every time unlike so many places hit or miss. This place always hits. Yes, for sure I recommend this spot for a great burger and cold beer.

The food and service were very good. Our group of 5 had the Cobb Salad, the Michigan Salad, and three Reuben's. All very good. But I'm not expecting raucous drunks at 5pm. Very loud shouting folks kind of took the shine off the place. Apparently a stop on the Underground Railroad, built in 1831 so historic place.

Great place that's been around for years, the food and service are always very prompt and tasty, they also have all you can eat fish and chips on Fridays. Portion to price is a bit less versus other places around town, but the live entertainment makes up for that.We've been there numerous times, and will continue to go back!

Had a really enjoyable lunch there today. Our server, Rochelle, took great care of us. I had the pork tacos. Delicious! Pork was tender and the edges were deliciously crunchy. Others in our party had the turkey ruben, quesadillas, and the daily special "slim Jim". All delicious. We also had a round of bloody Marys, complete with pickle, olive, lime and crispy bacon strips! Love the vibe there. Enjoy your meal indoors or out. It's the oldest bar in Michigan. Highly recommend!

So dive bar as expected. The Cuban was delicious. I subbed onion rings for an additional $2.50 and received 3 onion rings. They were obviously made in house and were delicious but I don't think they were worth $0.83 each. Service was good.

Love this dive bar. Rumor is that it's the oldest in the state. I looove their nachos! I tend not to drink beer on draft because their lines don't seem to be cleaned well. Staff is always good.They have live music and that's fun. I enjoy the crowd there as well! Great local spot!

The food is good and the service is great. They have wonderful entertainment almost every night.

Service is hit and miss most days. Food has been consistent...good live music during the week/weekends.
