A Coney Island with a bar attached?! Yes indeed! Jimmy's Tavern and sports bar offers lunch and dinner and shares the same building as National. But I digress this review is for the Coney Island part. Service is always fast and friendly. All the ladies working here go out of their way to make sure your coffee or pop is refilled and the food comes out quickly. Everything I've had from the Greek gyro salad to omelettes to cheeseburgers have been fresh and tasty. Portions are large and there's usually a to-go box involved. Sign up for the rewards program and you'll start earning points toward free food quickly.

Whenever I come home to Michigan, nothing makes the trip complete like hitting a coney restaurant. This was my first visit to National and it did not disappoint. This is comfort food, a classic America diner. Don't drop in looking for a world class high end dining experience ... ain't the place for that. But if you're down for a burger, a dog and some fries, this is the joint.My Detroit style coney was spot on, and that dog casing "snap" is something only Michiganders can truly appreciate. Our server was attentive (actually had several people check on us during our meal), and very nice. Just a good dining experience all around. Thanks, National!!!

Fancy like is going to be at the national Coney Island. We could eat here 5 times over in the time it would hair down the street. A Large Greek salad sounds good, ordered a large and a baby , 2 southwest Hanis.Greek salads were out within minutes of ordering. Food was quick and always tastes the same too. The Greek salad was okay, had a lettuce bits of that were rotten here and there. The southwest hani tasted just like the regular hani, it had a slight hint of chipotle Mayo, but definitely not enough to be notable. Service was good and quick too.

We used to love coming as a family - that was before the pandemic. Since then, it's progressively worse every time we go. I gave two stars for the two or three regular waitresses that work the breakfast shift in weekends - they're usually great, just not enough for us to keep trying one more time. The food quality and preparation seems to be getting worse - while the prices are climbing.

Got door dash omelet and cheese fries were good. They were a bit soft I'll make sure to get them well done next time. Omelet was great too. Food came hot with plenty of condiments and silverware. Next time I'll eat in.

Food is usually really good I've been coming here for an extremely long time. Although I never had any issues with service until today. It was just horrible the waitress Ali was messing up my order a lot. Food was cold and not fresh at all.

My name is Mike Torongo and have been a long standing patron of National Coney Island. I just felt the need to forward you my experience at your Warren, Van Dyke location.I arrived around 7 pm on February 3 and it was fairly busy. I was seated and then the server, Kristen quickly arrived to take my order. She was very friendly and attentive which was a wonderful feeling not only did that make me feel good but she seemed like she really cared about her job and not just going through the motions. She checked back just the right amount of times and had no problem refilling my diet pop(some other places seem to act like it's a chore). It's employees like that who makes people want to come back. Not only did I leave full after a good meal, I left with a smile on my face. Thank you for the great staff that you hire.
