My Big Fat Shawarma

I cannot say a bad thing about MBFS! The vibe is always welcoming, there is always amazing music playing and the people/service are just the best!! And the food!! Hands down top tier! From the wraps to the bowls, the food is always hot and fresh! The wraps are humungous and the bowls match! You can easily get 2-3 servings from each. The veggies are always fresh and the sauce is magnifique! I always enjoy my food and the experience and I stop in and I suggest everyone R-U-N to My Big Fat Shawarma!!

Decided to try this place out one day and I was not disappointed. The ingredients were fresh and my wrap was huge lol. I had the Falafel Wrap and it was delicious, I went back a few days later for another one lol

My Big Fat Shawarma is a quick eat-in or carryout restaurant serving the popular Middle East street food in varieties such as pita wrapped, salad, fries, or with yellow rice.The restaurant is owned by a Black American woman.It is located on East 8 Mile Road, just east of Dequindre surrounded by lots of shopping and fast food restaurants.I was happy to find a healthier choice for lunch.I ordered the salad, as I mentioned, there are other bases (step 1) to choose from. You also choose your meat variety (step 2), either chicken, steak or falafel; your toppings (step 3), and then your sauce, step 4.Toppings include:lettuce, tomato, pickles, beets, tabbouleh, pita chips, cucumber, chickpeas, and pickled onion among a few others.The sauces consist of the usual flavors found at most shawarma restaurants. I chose garlic and their signature "Fat Sauce", it was super yummy.If you choose, you can also select their signature bowls, salads, or wraps. Menu items with the ingredients pre-crafted.You may order extras of any items. There are also sides: fries, pita chips, hummus, falafel, and rice. Chicken Lemon soup, drinks including a few varieties of lemonade, desserts - churros, baklava, cheese cake and layer cake slices, I had the cherry lemonade. It was the perfect sweet/tart compliment to my savory salad.Catering is also available.The restaurant is located in a strip of stores. There is plenty of parking.Payments accepted include, cash, credit/debit, and tap pay.They are available on Doordash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.

The workers were so nice and gave good recommendations. Once you walk in, you can build your own bowl, or they do have bowls on the menu. The options to put inside the bowl is very wide. The bowl is bigger than my hand and they fill it up all the way ‍. I think it took me three days to finish and the flavors coming together at once completed it. I do recommend to get your sauces on the side. I wish I did that because I don't think I would've even got the sauce, because it was THAT good.

This place is always amazing. All foods are fresh and Bursting with a Punch of flavors. Only reason I have them 4 stars and not 5 is because they were out of Churros the last two time I came. Love the chocolate filled treats.

We had some shawarma bowls from here. The first time it was really good but we had the sauce put on instead of getting it on the side. It was a lot of sauce, messy, but really good. This time was got the sauce on the side, more manageable. The bowl was really good too! It had chicken, pickles, beets on the side, lettuce, and the yellow rice. The pita chips were on the side, because I don't like my chips soggy! I love pita chips but these chips tasted like they were fried in old oil. We ate the bowl without them and put the garlic sauce on our selves. Took the bowl home and my daughter just ate the rest. Kids are picky and she said it was really good and wants to get more. Good job over there!

Amazing hidden spot. So good I had to come back two days and a row (and brought my whole office to try it out).The best Shawarma I've found in all of Detroit or Dearborn. Prices are good, portions are HUGE, and the staff makes the experience very fun and memorable. 10/10 would and will come back to My Big Fat Shawarma. The rice alone is worth the trip.

I was told my online order would be ready for pickup at 5:26pm. When i arrived at the store, they hadn't even begun to prepare my order. I waited over 15 minutes and then was told that the lentil soup I had ordered, was unavailable. I was then told that I would have to go online to get a refund. I tried for several minutes unsuccessfully to get my refund. I had placed the order as a guest and couldn't get the refund. I was also treated rudely by the server. Not one aspect of this encounter was worthy of a single star. Please do not go to the 8 Mile, Warren, MI establishment.

Friendly & patient customer service. Fresh ingredients & they have very generous portions. Absolutely delicious Overall an excellent experience & will for sure return!
