Muncheez

Food ain't bad but ain't good either. The service is great though, I couldn't be more please. I will say this don't take my word for it, go check Munchez out and see for yourself. My taste buds might be different from yours and the inside was nice and clean.

I was out here in the area shopping on a Saturday afternoon and wanted something to eat that I hadn't tried before. Muncheez came up on businesses close to me and I know I've heard of them before. As a fan of Mexican food, I figured why not, let's go check it out.Pulling in, it's easy to see but parkings sort of a pain in the butt here. I've seen worse but I've also seen better. Immediately when you walk in, there's the order counter. Staff here was friendly and helpful and I took a few minutes to review the menu.The prices here are pretty good considering *most* but not all of their menu items are ala carte. They have some good specials which I love, and of course, fountain pop! yay! Anyway, I didn't want the 3 taco combo, so I sported for two tacos and wanted a side. I usually go with a side of rice and beans, but they were both 16 ounces. That was to much for me and I didn't feel like taking anything home with me. So, I sported for the onion chips as a side.I got the ground beef for my tacos and it came out after about 10 minutes. I was the only customer in here at the time, so a nice lady walked it out to my table. The food here is actually really good and you get a fair amount for the price. What made me happy at the end, is an older lady came out and thanked me in Spanish after I was done. I tried speaking to her in English but she doesn't speak English well and my Spanish is terrible, so I'm still not clear on what she said to me. She was a nice lady though.Overall, I would eat here again as it was a good experience both food and atmosphere wise. Good for a quick bite or carryout, and everything was tasty.

Found this gem, apparently been around for 4 years. They have new second location in Troy as well. The owners mother helped us, she was super nice, she explained anything and everything we asked her. There chicken and beef are all halal. They also sell Pork, but the pork is completely separately prepared, it's kept separate from the halal food. Beans are not cooked in lard, same with halal tamales. Everything tasted very authentic. I am so happy I got the tamales it had been long time since I had them. The place on the inside looks nice, this location has plenty of seating. I wish the food had more spice, I expected more kick/flavour for being a Mexican restaurant. I asked the lady, she said they use to make it more spicy but apparently people complained.

Happy cinco de mayo! Wasn't busy ordered at the counter and sat down to eat! Everything was clean! And the food was tasty! We had them bria tacos and steak fajitas It filled both of us up for sure!

At Muncheez one can live every day like Taco Tuesday! Ok, that's probably corny, but I'm in my feels.I really enjoy a theme; doesn't everyone? Especially when it's tied to a comforting crave-worthy food like tacos.I thoroughly enjoyed Muncheez. I just hate that it's so far from my home; but perhaps that's a good thing.Walking in, the service counter is the first thing that you see. You order your food, prepare your own drink and seat yourself.There are lots of yummy treats on the menu to choose from. All Taco Tuesday worthy. There are tacos of course, but also cheese sticks, chicken fingers, sweet treats, burgers, quesadillas, and chips & guac to name a few.I ordered birria and supreme tacos and a side of guac with no onion. The birria is so darn tasty; with tender meat, gooey cheese and the magic of the sauce-dipped fried tortilla, it's seriously taco heaven.I could eat these every week.The supreme was good as well. The guac was so great. I think I tasted lime which accents the avo well. I don't care for strong onion-filled guac. I was pleased that they made me an order without it.I really enjoyed the setting. I visited about an hour before closing, the lights in the dining area were turned down, while roaring fires on video screens lit the room. There was also a telenovela playing on the television.I felt so warm, cozy and entertained. The ambiance made the dining experience even better.Kudos to the staff at Muncheez. What you're doing there truly works for this Yelping fan.

You order at the counter and they woo bring the food out to us. Ordered two mandarin Jarrito, 1 chicken tostada, 1 chicken quesadilla, 4 grilled tacos, 1 chicken enchilada with red sauce. 4 ounce guacamole, 2 4 ounce house made hot sauce and corn chips. $36.04. The chips are stale or some of them at least. They made us fresh chips and they are much better. The house hot salsa is mild and doesn't have much flavor either. It's almost like the tomatoes are stewed for their hot salsa. Had to ask about our enchilada and the guacamole too. The tiny cubed chicken for the tacos and the enchiladas are dry. The chicken quesadillas are filled with a decent amount of chicken at least. The guacamole is tiny and not full either. The quesadillas ate bland and super greasy on the bottoms. The tostada was ok.

A bit disappointed. The Mexican corn was either on a cob or a bowl. I opted for the bowl thinking they would used the corn from the cob to make it but it was just canned/frozen corn. It did have the right flavors but not the right texture. I also got the burrito. If you like plain and big then this is it for you. It had a good amount of beans/rice/pork ratio but it was so so plain. I realized it didn't have any onion, cilantro or lime. I'm used to eating flavorful burritos so this didn't make the cut for me. It looks family owned and operated. The service was fine. I was the only person there around 2pm. There's a seating area to the left of the entrance and it can seat a moderate amt of ppl. It's part of a little strip mall so plenty of parking.

This place is a must visit for me whenever I come to Warren for training. They have the best birra tacos I have ever enjoyed. I have tried many birra tacos in my travels, but this place is light years ahead. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is very clean and welcoming.

I went to an event in Sterling Heights last weekend and a friend found reviews on Muncheez, so we checked it out. OMG! The food here is amazing!! I had the street tacos & chicken strips on Friday. We came back on Saturday and I had street tacos and a burger. The meat for the tacos and burger are very flavorful. Others at my table had the nachos, burgers/fries, the birria tacos, all the food was delicious! The staff was great! Rita & Mikaela are super friendly and explained items on the menu to us. Will definitely come back when we have another event in the area.
