Mr Miguel's Mexican Grille & Cantina

There was nothing really special about this place. The food was just okay , the service was just okay. Nothing really wowed me to ever want to come back. I've said this in prior reviews, I just don't think customer service was how it used to be. We came on a Sunday night and it was not that busy the restaurant was only about half full. We sat at the bar, and again we're not greeted when we sat down, and it took some time for the bartender to come over and acknowledge us and take our orders. She was nice enough, but everything just takes a while. I remember during our food we had to ask for refills on our waters. For a while we were the only ones sitting at the bar.. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and unfortunately all that came with the quesadilla was cheese and shrimp. I had to get the lettuce separately as well as the beans. Neither were very good. Everything about this place is JUST OKAY. But I think there are other Mexican restaurants, more authentic restaurants, that are better to go to.

This was not our first time ordering from Mr. Miguel's and it won't be our last. The Birria tacos were stuffed with beef and the broth dip was great. The queso was just okay. The fried beef tacos were huge and very good. The takeout time was fast and next time I want to eat at the restaurant so I can try the Mexican pizza.

Ordered the queso and chips, I asked if it had spices before ordering, waitress said yes. It was white cheese melted, nothing else, Bland. I ordered carne asada street tacos, lots of onions and tortillas were very chewy, meat had no flavor. Husband ordered enchiladas and said they were good but the beans and rice were not. Margaritas were not good. Very disappointed. Service was great, ambiance was good as well.

My go to Mexican restaurant!!! Love the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. The drinks are strong and yummy, and they recently updated their menu and I've loved everything I've tried so far. The Mexi burrito-wrap is so so good, and we have to get the fried chicken tacos every time! Super affordable, large portions, and nice staff. Look forward to returning soon!!

My husband and I split the tacos and fried ice cream. When ordering the three tacos you can only order beef OR chicken. You cannot get 2 of one kind and one of the other. We got the beef tacos. The grease was so bad that the hard shell fell apart when we picked them up. The paper they were sitting on was soaked. The fried ice cream was just okay. We have had much better food at Les Tres Amigos in downtown Farmington. The Tacos are better also, you can split beef and chicken. The service at Mr. Miguel was spot on. But it was so noisy we were yelling across the table to be able to talk to each other. We will not go back.

My friend suggested this restaurant for our meet-up, located on the border of Plymouth, mid-point between our homes. We inhaled 2 baskets of chips, one with salsa, the other with chunky guacamole, as we decided on our entrées and caught up from when we last met up. The chips were light and crisp, with just the right sprinkling of salt. The menu is large and includes a variety of burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, among its specialties. At first, I wanted to order the fajitas, which I typically have prepared medium rare, but the restaurant only prepares them medium. So instead, I copied my friend and had the enchiladas. She had the chicken ones in red sauce; I went with the beef in green sauce - a subtle difference. The enchiladas were made with corn tortillas and covered in sauce and cheese and served with seasoned rice and beans. I passed on the latter. We chatted until closing - which was at 9pm, a tad early I thought. Service was prompt and friendly.

The food here is some of the best Tex-Mex I have ever had. Everything is fresh.The service is prompt, friendly and helpful.It CAN be a little noisy (we went on a Saturday night), but it never got too loud and we enjoyed the colorful wall murals. All kinds of folks come here: families with kids of all ages, couples, buddies night, after golf, girls' night, you get the idea. All are welcome!

Working close by, I tried eating here several months ago after getting my nachos and beer the waitress disappeared, I could not ask for the missing jalapenos, salsa or a second beer. All I could get was my bill sometime after finishing. Finally went back to try to order Nachos with jalapenos and salsa this time, Bus boy had given me a menu, had to wait over 15 mins for a waitress, waitress asked if she could get me a beer, but first, pointing to the menu to ask a question, she turned and walked away! Several minutes later she came back, and told me the Nachos and Happy hour specials just expired... I was not there for happy hour, didn't know about happy hour, but with her Rude and uncaring, i gave up and left hungry and thirsty, I don't see any reason to give them a third try, especially after reading other reviews.

I really recommend Miguel's restaurant.We had a catering service, and the food was delicious.
